Athing Mu Earns Silver at Youth Olympic Games

On Sunday in Buenos Aires, Argentina Athing Mu representing the USA finished second in the 800m during the Youth Olympic Games running 2:05.23. This was after a 2:08.01 to advance out of the first stage of the event. The New Jersey mid-distance star was only behind Keely Small of Australia who posted a 2:04.76 to win gold.

At only 16 years of age this was Mu's first chance at some invaluable international experience and she stepped up to the challenge with her silver medal performance. A great sign of things to come as this very likely won't be the last international competition the Trenton Track Club talent sees.
