The East Orange boys sprint and hurdle crew lit up the track with three NJ#1 times and one NJ#2 time at Saturday's fifth annual Bulldog Relays at Shabazz Stadium in Newark.
EO dropped a 59.36 in the shuttle hurdles, a 1:26.59 in the 4x200, and a 3:21.69 in the 4x400 to take over the top spots in New Jersey in those relays. It also ran a NJ #2 in the 4x100 with its winning time of 42.75.
East Orange is also No. 1 in the state in the SMR with the 3:30.91 that it cranked out when it finished first at the Bullis Invit. last week.
Coach Lance Wigfall's crew, the only team in the state to go under 1:27 in the 4x200, qualified for New Balance National Outdoor in all four races.
In the 4x200, EO's splits were 21.8 for Immyouri Etienne, 22.3 for Al-Shadee Salaam, 21.8 for Kishaun Richardson, and 21.1 for Akeem Lindo. Lindo and Dunson were also on the shuttle team that included Malcolm Barnes and Ibraham Fobay, and Richardson blasted a 48.3 and Etienne a 47.8 on the 4x400.
"It was a good meet with perfect weather,'' said Wigfall.
