Sophomore Simon Schenk of Princeton HS cleared 15-00 during the Princeton Invitational #3 on Thursday night. That ties the state lead with Seth Kricheff of NV - Old Tappan who made the same vault during the Bergen County Relays on January 24th.
This season has proven to be a jump in height for New Jersey boys pole vaulters. Kricheff and Schenk are the first to clear 15 feet for the state since 2014.
For Schenk this was a six inch PR indoors and five in outdoors where he vaulted 14-07 to win his spring Sectional as a freshman.
