Interview with Aliyah Taylor above, apologies for the audio reverb on the questions.
It came down to the University of North Carolina and Ole Miss but after a balloon popping announcement at Rancocas Valley HS it was official, Aliyah Taylor will be a Tar Heel next fall.
Taylor has had a great start to her senior season, opening up with a NJ#5 all-time run in the 300 meter at Bishop Loughlin where she ran 39.42. That was after missing 8 months with a hamstring injury that shortened her outdoor season.
The defending indoor 200 meter showcase Champion at the Meet of Champions, she has a goal of possibly earning double gold this winter in the 400 meter as well. She was second last year to none other than the now graduated Sydney McLaughlin.
Taylor will be competing in the 55 meter dash this weekend at the Millrose Games. She won the Millrose Games Trials earlier in January with a time of 7.23 in prelims and 7.24 in the finals.
