On Thursday morning, January 25th, the New Jersey community as a whole lost Ben Landel, a senior at Ramapo HS, after a year long battle with cancer. This article is here to share some of the social posts and press remembering his impact on the North Jersey community and his fellow teammates and competitors.

Ben was a star on the soccer pitch as well as a talented distance focused athlete on the track. He qualified for the NJSIAA Group Track and Field Championships four times individually during his time at Ramapo.

A viewing will be held from 3:00 to 7:00pm on Friday February 2nd at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. A funeral mass celebrating Ben's life will be at 10:00am on Saturday, February 3rd at the St. Elizabeth's Church. There will also be a prayer service open to all high school teens Sunday, January 28th from 7:15 to 8:00.
