The biggest story of the meet goes to Alyssa Wilson of Donovan Catholic who broke the national record in the shot put with a mark of 57-05.5. Wilson is the only high school girl over 57 feet in US shot put history, and all season it felt like it was just a matter of time until she broke the standard. You can read more about the historic throw here.

Leah Saifi of Governor Livingston had a huge PR in the pole vault clearing 13-00.5 for first place, that is NJ#1 and US#8 this season. She is now ranked second all-time indoor for New Jersey in this event, the state record is 13-05 held by Danielle O'Reilly of Shawnee since 2004 at the Varsity Classic.

Union Catholic had a great prelim performance in the 4x200 meter leading the meet with a 1:40.67 NJ#1, they did not participate in the finals however. North Hunterdon ran a 12:00.45 in the DMR NJ#1 US#4. If they can go under 12 minutes it would be the first time for a New Jersey squad since the 2014 season when Haddonfield ran 11:43.94 at Nationals, Mount St. Dominic's and Freehold Twp were also under the barrier that year. To finish off the relays Haddonfield took first in the 4x800 meter running 9:31.92 NJ#5 and Union Catholic gold in the 4x400 meter with a 3:58.66.

Leah Saifi now second all-time indoors for New Jersey pole vault.

Along with the great shot put and pole vault performances the highlights continued in the field... Union Catholic's Sydney McLaughlin hit a new PR in the long jump for 20-07.75 NJ#1 US#4. In the triple jump Bonvie Fosam of Robbinsville hit a 39-0.5 NJ#1. High jump had freshman Tierra Hooker of Timber Creek matched her state leading height of 5-06 for second.

Rachel Vick of Kingsway took off in the mile run with a winning time of 4:55.96 NJ#1. In the 200 meter dash Shakira Dancy of Winslow had a time of 24.65 for a NJ#1. Rancocas Valley's Aliyah Taylor went NJ#2 in the 400 meter with her winning time of 55.21. Lexi Del Gizzo of Tenafly won the 800 meter running 2:12.81, just off her state leading season best of 2:12.30 at this same track. St. John Vianney's Nora Honrath won the two mile run with a time of 11:10.52.

In the center of the oval New Jersey had a great showing in the 55 dash and hurdles as well. Amaya Chadwick of Union Catholic won the hurdles running 8.02. In the dash the quick season for Jersey sprinters continued as Sydney Hawkins of Phillipsburg hit a huge PR of 6.98 NJ#2 for a second place finish. She joins a short list of girls from the state who have gone under seven seconds all-time.
