It came down to the 4x400 meter but Haddonfield finished strong with a 3:25.27 for the win and an important 10 points, placing them one ahead of Governor Livingston in the team standings 35 to 34. Rahway was also in the mix finishing third as a team with 32 points. 

Luke Colehower opened up the meet with a win in the 400 meter for Haddonfield running a time of 49.92, he also closed the meet by anchoring home that title clinching 4x400 meter.  In the 1600 meter Derek Gess placed second running a season best 4:24.77. Spencer Flores captured third in the 55 meter hurdles running 7.86, 7.81 in the prelims, and Greg Eisenhower gathered a point in the 3200 meter placing sixth with a 9:50.49. 

This is Haddonfield's third straight boys state title and their 10th in school history, the fifth most all-time among all the NJSIAA schools. The future looks bright from here as well with Colehower, Gess, and Eisenhower all only sophomores.

Governor Livingston's senior Andrew Aguilera had a great meet winning both the 55 meter dash and hurdles. In the dash he posted a 6.51 NJ#7 and the hurdles came out to 7.60, the third fastest time from all the Groups. 

In the 800 meter Corey McGhie ran to the tune of 1:58.86 for his first state championship. Louis DiLaurenzio of Raritan recorded a 4:23.38 win in the 1600m. For the 3200 meter Pt. Pleasant Boro's Devin Hart ran a strategic 9:39.07. 

Then to the field.. In the high jump Andrew Pondiscio cleared 6-4 for the win, he is currently ranked NJ#3 this season at 6-6. In the pole vault Douglas Young of Rumson-Fair Haven vaulted to a height of 14-0. For the shot put we had the state leader and US#4 ranked Jordan West of Rahway who threw for a 64-3, he currently has a best of 65-6 and was the only thrower to go over 60 feet at any of the Group Championships.
