Who's Ready for the start of the season?! Opening weekend we will have video race coverage from both the Randolph Invitational on Friday night and the Cherokee Challenge on Saturday. Below you will find the attending teams so far from the 21st Annual Cherokee Challenge directly from Meet Director Chris Callinan.
Last year's Meet of Champions winner Alyssa Aldridge won the girls sophomore race, her team is on the schedule and last year's interview above. Returning combined and boys team champions Downingtown West return as well as the girls champions Pennsbury, both teams from Pennsylvania. The fastest girls returner Anna Juul, from Pennsylvania's Unionville also has her team on schedule. She won the junior race last year with a time of 11:16.
Entries close September 3rd so if you are planning to attend make sure you get those in. Entry information can be found on the meet page where our coverage and results will be located as well.
The meet takes place at Cherokee High School in Marlton, NJ and consists of grade level 2 mile races, 1.5 for middle school, and an interesting team scoring system that takes both the boys and girls into account.
