Matt Grossman Wins First MOC Title | Interview on His Career Best 3200

On Wednesday night Millburn junior Matt Grossman settled in among the leaders during the Meet of Champions boys 3200 meter run. In a similar fashion to his Group 4 state title over the weekend, he out lasted everyone pushing a brutal pace, always up front if not in the lead to dictate. Grossman won his first career MOC title running 9:06.25 which is NJ#2 so far this season as well as a career best time.

Speed down the final stretch was a big part, especially while holding off a huge final kick from Joshua Clark of Highland Regional who finished at the line with Grossman running 9:06.70 NJ#3. Another leader finishing third Aaron Groff at 9:07.42 NJ#4.

In the interview above Grossman stated it has been a year long process working to build his speed. It definitely has shown to be a successful venture with his victories this state season.
