Leah Saifi of Governor Livingston HS, who is only a junior, set the NJ#2 all-time height in the girls pole vault on Monday night. After thunder delays and under the lights Saifi cleared the 12-8 bar to set a major NJ#1 heading into state season. This also broke the Union County record in the event.
The state record is held by Danielle O'Reilly of Shawnee who cleared 13-3 back in 2004 at the Olympic Conference Championships.
