Group 1 Conversation Notes

  • Stranieri | It will be a tight individual race between Rachel Suss of Metuchen and Jillian Turner of New Providence. Can Jillian Turner take the win and lead her team to victory?

Group 2 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | We get our first glimpse of what Briana Gess can do at Holmdel this season. She holds a personal best of 17:45 from freshmen year.
  • Stranieri | The individual race between Briana Gess of Haddonfield and Lauren Kroepfl should be a good one to watch. They could push each other to a fast time.

Group 3 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | This battle should be awesome, very talented front runners in this one. Alyssa Aldridge ran an 18:20 here during the Shore Coaches Invite and is riding seven wins this season. Sierra Castaneda is the defending Group 3 champion with an 18:22 at the Group meet last year, undefeated with eight wins in 2015. If either or both miss a step Lauren Sapone is right there to make a championship move as well she's been setting course PR's left and right this fall.
  • Stranieri | Should be an interesting individual race between Alyssa Aldridge of Mainland, Lauren Sapone of Red Bank Regional, and Sierra Castaneda of West Morris Central.

Group 4 Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Niamh Hayes, Christina Rancan, Caitlin O'Brien, Rachel Vick, Juliet Kohli, Olympia Martin, Katie Delidow, Ciara Roche, and we could keep going. This race is going to be awesome, and any one of these ladies could be in contention for the title when the race comes over the crest on the final straight.
  • Stranieri | Can Ciara Roche continue her winning ways sicne returning from injury earlier this year and take the win?

Non Public A Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Nora Honrath is having a great season and could bring the Non Public A individual title back to St. John Vianney. Courtney Thompson last won it for the school in 2013 when she ran 18:35.

Non Public B Conversation Notes

  • Kellert | Camille Bertholon has three straight wins heading into the meet, she'll have to hold off the defending champion Crystal Ortiz and Mary Lynch to make it four straight and a state title season.
  • Stranieri | Can Mary Lynch of Villa Walsh take the win and lead her team to victory?
