The Cherry Hill East distance star Aaron Groff has chosen the University of Pennsylvania to continue his running and educational career! He is now the third New Jersey distance talent to head there, joining Will and Colin Daly who announced earlier in the season.
Groff has multiple South Group 4 Sectional victories in the 3200m, an event where he has a best of 9:17.32. He entered this season ranked second among all Holmdel returners with a course PR of 15:55 which he ran at Groups in 2014.
After last year's second place finish at Groups and a strong season so far he is definitely among the favorites for the Group 4 state title this year. This fall he has won the Battle at Ocean County Park senior race with 15:36, and placed sixth at Manhattan in the Eastern States race running 12:24.
He has other personal bests of 2:00.03 in the 800m, and 4:20.11 in the 1600m.
