Due to a mix-up at the Meet of Champions back on June 3rd the NJSIAA has declared a tie for the boys high jump championship and will award Devin Bradham of Williamstown with a gold medal. Devin Bradham is a three time state champion at the group level with two outdoor titles (2014, 2015) and one indoor (2015) and will be continuing his education and athletics at Penn State University. He has placed well at the Meet of Champions in the past with a third place finish during outdoor 2014 and another bronze medal this past indoor. The height of 6-10 is his personal best and was first cleared at Group Championships during 2014 outdoor. With this correction Bradham is the second ever boys MOC winner from Williamstown, the first boys champion came in 1984 when Rich Lewis threw 169-11 in the boys discus throw. Though only a sophomore Marquese Bell has also been crowned a state champion before this meet. During the 2014 outdoor group meets he cleared 6-4 to win the Group 2 state title and placed fifth at the Meet of Champions that followed. He does not jump, over a bar that is, during indoor season as he spends his athletic time playing basketball.
Both athletes are currently in a three way tie for the state lead at 6-10. That tie also includes Ameer Banks of Delsea Reg who won the Group 3 state title this year.
