Alyssa Aldridge of Mainland Regional opened up her freshman year of racing with a win in her class race at the Cherokee Challenge. She ran a 11:57 on the 3200 meter course which ranked 13th among all the races combined. She then quickly moved on to the varsity races, the following week she raced the 1 and 2 Runners Division at the South Jersey Shootout to win the 5000 meter race with a meet leading time of 19:09! Her first run at Holmdel was a success too, a seventh place finish in the Varsity B race with a 20:03! Most recently she won the South Jersey Open Division 3 race with a meet leading time of 18:23 (the fifth fastest time when counting meet performances since 2004),
