Killer Kick Wins NB Mile for Tauro

Danielle Tauro of Southern Regional used her legendary last lap speed to take the HS Girls Invitational Mile in a smoking 4:46.13 at the Armory T & F Center today. Running in a tight pack for the entire race, the Michigan bound senior unleashed her kick on the last lap to defeat Chenelle Price of Easton, PA (4:50.65) and soph teammate Jillian Smith (4:55.27.)
In HS Boys Mile Kyle Soloff of Morris Hills raced to a 3rd place finish (4:19.41) behind Chris Moen of Walter Johnson (4:16.76) and Chaminade's Ryan McDermott (4:15.96).

In other Girls events, the Hunterdon Central Girls led a 1-4 sweep of the Shuttle Hurdle, winning in 35.72. Ridge (36.24), Hanover Park (36.55) and Ocean Twp. followed. HC also took gold in the Varsity Girls 4x800m event in a time of 9:28.29. In the Shot Put Relay the West Orange threw a combined 72\' 9 1/4\" to defeat Jackson Mem. (4th / 69\' 1\") and Ocean Twp. (6th 67\' 2 1/4\"). A total height of 10\' 8\" gave Columbia HS the win in the HJ Relay. Other NJ scorers in that event were Union Catholic ( 2nd / 10\' 0\") and West Orange ( 5th / 9\' 8\") Coming up:
