Now onto Groups! The season is sadly coming to a close but the best performances are yet to come! Is the setting sun in my graphic too much? (sniffles)

Here is a .pdf of the rules and regulations for the 2013 XC season as put together by the NJSIAA. But I have gone through all of that information for you and provided it below.

• Note - There will be no parking at Holmdel Park for this meet. You must park at the Vonage parking lot and shuttle buses will be running back and forth to and from the meet. Here is a screen shot straight from the NJSIAA regulations.

• For those 2700 students eligible to run in this week's Group Cross-country Championships at Holmdel Park this Saturday:
  We will be using electronic chips attached to your bib numbers. This means:
  1. Do NOT bend the numbers.
  2. Do NOT pin the numbers through the chips. Use the pre-punched holes in the bib number, using 4 pins (supplied), one in each corner.
  3. Pin the number in the CENTER of your chest.
  4. Since the backup system for the meet is a video process, it is important that your number be visible as you cross the finish line. Do not fold your arms across your chest while finishing.
  5. Once you cross the finish line you must keep moving to the back of the chute. EXIT ONLY FROM THE REAR OF THE CHUTE.
• Coaches and athletes, please tell your parents and friends that in order to help with the cost of the shuttle buses, there will be a$1.00 charge per person, payable before you board the bus in the Vonage parking lot. When you pay your dollar, someone will stamp your hand which will be your ticket to use the bus as many times you want/need to during the course of the day.

• *All awards are scheduled approximately 45 minutes after each race. Report to the staging area as soon as possible after results are announced.

• To Advance to Meet of Champions:

1. Teams that finished in the top 3 of each race.
2. Two Wild-Card teams that have the best total time of all 4th and 5th place teams from all groups.
3. Top 10 individuals in each group race.
4. Top 10 individual times of all the remaining runners from all Group races who have not qualified yet.
