Central Regional Boys take the county relays championship with a 10 point lead over second place Toms River North. They were led by their 1st place 4x200m team running a 1:33.43, and their Shot Put team of Jesse Brown (48-10), Avery Jackson (45-07) and John Febus (45-00). Also leading the way was the first place High Jump Relay team of Dylan Bailey (5-10), Jordan Hardy (5-08), and Dillon Lucey (5-06). In fact the field events really carried the team to victory placing well in most of the jumps and throws events. Second place in the Javelin, fourth in the Discus, second in the Triple, and even a six place effort in the Long Jump. Other important points came from the 4th place SMR 3:45.21 and 6th place 4x400m (3:38.02).
Toms River South put on a show in the 4x1600m winning by over a minute at 18:10! As well as the Distance Medley which had Chris Marco look like a man amongst boys in the opening leg of the 1200m when it almost seemed as if he was going to lap the field just missing breaking 3 minutes before the rest of the team would bring home the gold in a time of 10:26.31.
