Breaking News - Joe Rosa's Injury

Joe Rosa will have surgery to separate bones which have fused together, correcting a condition called calcaneonavicular coalition in his right foot, coach Brian Gould said tonight. The operation will correct the medical condition which is not the result of an injury. The surgery is being planned for the near future and Gould said that a full recovery is expected and will probably take 2 – 3 months.

Brian said “Joe is taking this as well as can be expected. His first concern was for his teammates. He was afraid he was letting them down”.  Gould broke the news to his team today after Joe spoke with him. The coach emphasized to the group that it was time for all of them to step up to fill the void left by their teammate who had picked them up so many times in the past. Brian  said he was pleased to see the team pledge to "‘run their best for Joe who just wants to be there to support his teammates”.
