800 Meter Run - State Rankings
Last year's champion returns and it looks like Rey Rivera is the favorite to capture a second straight indoor title. He leads the state with his 1:53.17 US#6 win at Groups last weekend.
The top names that will challenge him for the title will include... Damien Dilcher of Brick Twp who ranks NJ#2 at 1:55.60, he had the eighth fastest Groups time of 1:58.56... Eric Barnes of Egg Harbor Twp second to Rivera at Group 4 Championships, Will Phinney of Ridge, Aidin Hendricks of Egg Harbor Twp, Billy Hill of Franklin, Alexander Pai of Morris Hills, and a long list of sub-1:58 athletes.
There is one other returner from last year's top six finishers, Shore Regional junior Drew Maher of Shore Regional who ran 1:59.77 at Groups.

1600 Meter Run - State Rankings
Mulual Mu of Trenton Central set the new state leading time of 4:16.03 at the Group 4 Championships and leads the way into the Meet of Champions. Alex Roth of Princeton finished second in that same race running 4:16.23 and Billy Hill of Franklin Twp third at 4:17.51.
Another showdown happened in the Group 3 race between Elliot Gindi of Ocean Twp 4:17.56 and Jordan Brannan of Colts Neck 4:17.72. You can expect them to be at the front in striking distance of a championship when the bell rings.
CBA's Colin Trigani and Noah Yuro also looked strong at the Non-Public A Championships running under 4 minutes 20 seconds.

3200 Meter Run - State Rankings
Colts Neck's Jordan Brannan will look to repeat as the 3200 meter champion, he is the top seed at 9:17.77 NJ#2 and the only one to run under 9:20 at Groups. His teammates Anthony Russo and Kevin Berry helped Colts Neck sweep the top three last weekend at Group 3 Championships and all rank as top five seeds heading in.
Bill Massey of Montclair Kimberly Academy will welcome the challenge after he had an incredible run of 9:20.45 NJ#3 in the Non-Public B all alone. Alex Roth of Princeton is another to keep an eye on, Will Hare of Princeton, Joey Defeo of Delbarton School all in the mix.
