2016 Spring Committee Minutes & Key Dates | Pre-Seeded Groups & MOCs!

Here are the topics and results covered at the annual end of season committee meeting at the NJSIAA building. One of the highlights being that the Group and Meet of Champions will be pre-seeded with heats and lane assignments posted to the site before the meet! Field events will still use cards for meet management purposes, however this means the track events will not need cards anymore at the Group and MOCs level.

A survey from the NJSIAA will eventually be sent out for input on some issues still in discussion.

The sites, costs and other points of interest regarding this issue.

                 6)  Entry, Seeding and advancement to GROUPS.

Many interesting concepts where discussed.   Here is the summary of the process for next

Enter up to 6 per event, only FAT from the current spring season, all seeding done by the

The clerks the day of the meet.  Labels will be printed out, put in coaches packets, along

               7)    GROUP MEETS:

The committee discussed at length the pre-seeding of the group meet.

Committee members came up with the following format.

Top 6 will advance from the sectional as usual.  The groups will be a pre-seeded meet.

All running events will be pre-seeded, the meet program will list heats and lane assignments and posted on the website.  We will not do scratches and open lanes will be left open.  Coaches will receive packets that will contain field event cards and labels

For the field events only.  No runner cards will be issued.

                8)   Meet Of Champions:

The committee wrestled with idea of changing the format of the meet.  However, at this

Time, the format will remain the same.  Top 6 from the groups and the wildcards will

Advance.  The meet will be pre-seeded.  Same format of the group meet.  No running

Cards.  Coaches will receive cards and labels for field events.

             In addition---a discussion was had about making the 4 x 100 and 4 x 800 an invitational
