Alyssa Aldridge of Mainland Regional continued her now six win sophomore season with her first state title running 18:13. That was the fastest time of the day when combining all the group meets. She is also distinguished as Mainland Regional's first girl to win a state title in cross country. Another great individual performance came in second place with Indian Hills senior Julia Guerra who finished with 18:45. This was her first time under 19 minutes at Holmdel since 2013 and her highest Group Championship finish.

Team wise Mendham kept their season rolling with another state title scoring 106 points and splitting only 44 seconds between their top five. They had the sixth best performance of the meet according to the merge. This was the second straight Group 3 championship for the school and fourth overall with wins in 2010, 2012, 2014, and now 2015.
