Girls Group Championships Recap and Video Highlights

Nora Honrath brought the Non-Public A individual title back to St. John Vianney who last had it when Courtney Thompson won in 2013. Honrath won with a time of 19:23 and is now the third SJV runner to win the title in the past four years.

In second running 19:48 was Amari Onque-Shabazz of Union Catholic. Her highest career finish at Group Championships set the tone for a Union Catholic squad that scored 56 points and averaged 20:24 to dethrone the defending champion Red Bank Catholic girls who took second with 76 points. This is Union Catholic's first team title in cross country and the future looks bright as well with a freshman, Jerika Lufrano, in the top ten and a squad that returns five of its top seven next season.
