April 1, 2013 The St. Dominic Academy Invitational at Lincoln Park had some very domineering performances by the Marauders in their first meet of the outdoor season. In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 11.6, Junior Jon Hilliman was 2nd in 11.7, Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 4th in 11.8 and Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 5th in 11.9. In the 1600 meter run, Juniors Chris Butko (4:44.6), Fritz Heinrich (4:45.1) and Jimmy Sause (4:45.3) went 1-2-3 in the event. In the 110 meter high hurdles Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 15.2 while Junior Barrington Bennett was 5th in 17.3.
In the High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 3rd with a 5'10" jump while Senior Kurt Espiritu was 1st in the shot put with a 44'3" throw while Sophomore Jordan Fox threw 39'2" for 2nd place in the Sophomore division. In the Javelin, Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 2nd with a 111'3" foot throw and Gabe Almanza was 3rd with a 108'7". In the 3200 meter run, Juniors Jimmy Sause (10:36.6) was 1st, Fritz Heinrich (10:43.6) was 2nd and David DeLeon was 4th in 11:09.0. In the 200 meter dash, Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 24.0, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 24.1 and Junior Jon Hilliman was 4th in 24.5. In the 400 meter hurdles, Senior Randall Wall was 2nd in 57.3 and Junior Barrington Bennett was 4th in 63.6.
In the freshman 400 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 4th in 73.5. In the Sophomore 400 meter hurdles Will Springer was 5th in 72.4 and Brian Rojas was 6th in 74.4. In the Frosh 110 meter high hurdles, Mile Murphy was 1st in the event in 21.6. In the Sophomore 110 meter high hurdles, Will Springer was 5th in 20.4.
In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Anthony Sabia was 5th in 12.5. In the Frosh 1600 meter run, Brandon Parrado was 2nd in 4:58.8, Billy Fitzpatrick was 4th in 5:04.9, Will Delaney ran 5:12.7, James Wright ran 5:21.5, Robbie Wisowaty ran 5:23.1, Ethan Bandales ran 5:46.7, Dom Mastrodonato ran 5:48.8 and Brian Muller ran 6:15.1. In the Sophomore 1600 meter run, Alex Alberti ran 5:05.0 for 4th place, Declan Wollard ran 5:14.0 and Bennett Wong ran 5:32.2.
In the Frosh 3200 meter run, Brandon Parrado was 1st in 10:55.7, Billy Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 11:10.0, James Wright was 4th in 11:39.0, Will Delaney was 5th in 11:44.7 and Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 11:46.1. Freshmen Dom Mastrodonato ran 12:38.0, Ethan Bandales ran 12:50.1 and Brian Muller ran 13:37.0. In the Sophomore 3200 meter run, Alex Alberti was 2nd in 10:55.4, Delan Wollard was 4th in 11:30.9 and Bennett Wong was 6th in 12:00.5.
In the freshman 400 meters, Kolton Huber was 2nd in 58.9, Matt Fetherman was 5th in 65.5 and Peter Garrigan was 6th in 66.8. In the Sophomore 200 meters, Sean Ahearn was 6th in 27.9.
April 5, 2013 The Rebel Relays at Howell High School saw the Marauders for the first time in the Frosh/Sophomore meet. Although missing some of the team, the 4x100 meter relay took 4th overall running from the second heat in 50.5. The team consisted of Sophomore Steven Sprofera in 12.8, Freshman Kolton Huber in 13.6, Sophomore Anthony Sabia in 11.4 and Sophomore Dwon Walker in 12.6.
In the distance medley relay, the team of Freshman Brandon Parrado running the 1200 meter leg (3:34.88), Sophomore Nat Soliven on the 400 meter leg (59.24), Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:11.94 for the 800 meter leg and anchored by Sophomore Alex Alberti on the 1600 meter run ran 5:01.79 and a team time of 11:47.8 and a 5th place finish. The "B" team of Sophomore Steven Millad ran 3:47.9 for the 1200 meters, Freshman Peter Garrigan ran 66.1 for the 400 meters, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:30.5 for the 800 meters and Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best ran 4:59.1 for a team time of 12:23.6. On the "C" team Freshman Will Delaney ran 3:53.60 for the 1200 meters, Freshman Mike Murphy ran 62.81 for the 400 meters, Freshman Dom Mastrodonato ran 2:37.38 for the 800 meters and Freshman James Wright in a personal best ran 5:17.15 for the 1600 meters for a team time of 12:50.94.
In the Sprint Medley relay, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 58.8 for the 400 meters, Freshman Kolton Huber ran 26.4 for 200 meters, Sophomore Anthony Sabia ran 25.6 for 200 meters and Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:14.5 for 800 meters for a team time of 4:05.3 for a 4th place finish. The "B" team of Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick ran 60.85 for the 400 meters, Sophomore Steven Sprofera ran 26.6 for 200 meters, Sophomore Dwon Walker ran 27.8 for 200 meters and Freshman Brandon Parrado ran 2:18.00 for the anchor 800 meters for a team time of 4:12.25.
In the Sophomore 4x400 meter relay, Freshman Mile Cid ran 65.69, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 59.84, Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 64.79 and Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 58.03 for a team time of 4:08.35 and a 6th place finish.
April 6, 2013 The Rebel Relays at Howell High School saw a greatly depleted lineup of the Varsity team because of illness only compete in one race with a 7th place finish for the distance medley relay of Junior Jimmy Sause in the 1200 meter run 3:27.72, Senior Tre Bell run 56.97 in the 400 meter leg, Junior David Deleon run 2:11.91 in the 800 meter portion and anchored by Junior Chris Butko in 5:00.62 on the 1600 meter leg.
April 11, 2013 The Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League (HCIAL) Relay Championships started with a 2nd place finish by Junior Eamonn Dwyer with a personal best 18'3.5" jump and Anthony Sabia went 16' 11" in the long run relay. In the discus relay, Sophomore John Marano in a personal best threw 89' while Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 87'. In the javelin relay, Senior Gabe Almanza threw 104' and Senior Gabe Gonzalez threw 97'8". In the freshmen shot put relay, Billy Fitzpatrick threw 25'1" and Robbie Wisowaty threw 23'11.5" to take 3rd place.
April 13, 2013 The HCIAL relays started with a 2nd place finish in the 4x1600 meter event with Freshman Brandon Parrado running 4:55.88, Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:43.18, Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick ran 4:56.41 and Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:52.83 for a team time of 19:28.30. In the 4x100 meter relay a full Sophomore team of Anthony Sabia, Dwon Walker, Brandon Wimbush and Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 46.9 for a 3rd place finish. In the 3x400 intermediate hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer ran 71.56, Freshman Mike Murphy ran a personal best of 75.85 and Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 77.59. In the 4x800 meter relay, Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:06.44, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:02.88, Junior David DeLeon ran 2:11.84 and Senior Ryan McGann ran 2:02.22 for a 2nd place finish in 8:23.38. In the freshman 4x800 meter relay, the Marauders were 1st with Robbie Wisowaty running a personal best of 2:21.66, followed by another personal best by Will Delaney in 2:25.13, followed by another personal best of 2:14.21 by Billy Fitzpatrick and Brandon Parrado in 2:19.70 for a team time of 9:20.60.
In other freshmen races, the distance medley relay led by Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best of 2:33.32 on the 800 meter leg, a personal best of 62.59 by Peter Garrigan in the 400 meter leg, another personal best of 3:52.88 on the 1200 meter leg by James Wright and Will Delaney on the 1600 meter leg with a time of 5:26.61 for a team time of 12:54.40. In the freshmen sprint medley relay, Matt Fetherman ran 27.53 and Said Boykin ran 25.13 on the 200 meter legs, Kolton Huber ran a personal best 57.31 on the 400 meter leg and Billy Fitzpatrick on his 3rd personal best times of the day ran 2:12.47 on the 800 meter leg for a combined winning time of 4:02.44. In the 4x200 meter relay, the team of Matt Fetherman, Kolton Huber, Said Boykin and John Armwood ran 1:46.8 to take 2nd place.
On the Varsity distance medley, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:10.22 on the 800 meter leg, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 57.00 on the 400 meter leg, Senior Ryan McGann ran 3:21.66 on the 1200 meter leg and Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:56.02 on the 1600 meter leg for a team time of 11:25.40 and a 2nd place finish. In the Varsity sprint medley relay, Sophomore Anthony Sabia ran 25.82, Junior Tucker Freeman ran 27.31 on the 200 meter legs, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 55.49 on the 400 meter leg and Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:11.48 on the 800 meter leg for a team time of 4:00.10.
In the shot put relay, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 40'4.25" and Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 31'8.5". In the high jump relay, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 6'2" for the best jump of the day. In the Varsity 4x400 meter relay, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 56.62, Sophomore Sean Ahearn ran 65.56, Sophomore Mike Cid ran 65.16 and Junior Dan Apicella ran 56.81.
April 20, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association at Kearny High School could not have started any better for the Marauders. In the first event of the meet, the Varsity 4x1600 meter team of Juniors Chris Butko in a personal best (4:35.16), Fritz Heinrich (4:34.69), Dan Apicella (4:43.26) and Jimmy Sause in a personal best (4:38.59) ran 18:31.7 to take 2nd place. This time is the 7th best in New Jersey and on the nationally recognized website Milesplit it is regarded as Second Team All American Elite. It is only 1.7 seconds from First Team. It also breaks the one year old St. Peter's Prep school record just established of 18:42.23. In the 2nd event of the meet, the Varsity Shuttle Hurdles, the team of Freshman Mike Murphy, Sophomore Will Springer, Junior Barrington Bennett and Senior Randall Wall ran 1:14.6 to take 4th place overall. In the Varsity shot put relay, Seniors Kurt Espiritu (43'9.5") and Paul Henry (39'3") took 3rd place overall with a combined throw of 83'.
In the 400 Intermediate Hurdles, Senior Randall Wall ran 60.3, Junior Barrington Bennett ran 64.8 and Sophomore Will Springer ran 72.3 to take 5th place in 3:14.4. In the high jump relay, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 6'2" and Junior Barrington Bennett jumped 5'4" to take 4th place in 11'6". In the 4x100 meter relay, Anthony Sabia, Gabe Gonzalez, Tre Bell and Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 45.8. In the 4x200 meter relay, Gabe Gonzalez (24.2), Anthony Sabia (26.6), Tre Bell (25.3) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (22.5) ran 1:38.6. In the long jump relay, Senior Randall Wall jumped 19'10.25" and Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 17'10.5" to take 4th place in 37'8.75".
In the Varsity distance medley relay, Junior David Deleon ran 3:36.88 for 1200 meters, Junior Jimmy Sause ran 60.03 for 400 meters, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:13.56 for 800 meters and Sophomore Alex Alberti ran 5:02.54 for 1600 meters for a team time of 11:53.01 for 6th place. In the Varsity 4x800 meter relay, Juniors Chris Butko ran 2:06.12, Fritz Heinrich ran 2:07.22, David DeLeon ran 2:10.84 and Dan Apicella ran 2:06.02 to take 1st place in 8:30.2.
In the Sophomore 4x200 meter Steven Sprofera (27.3), Sean Ahearn (26.9), Mike Cid (26.9) and Declan Wollard (25.8) ran 1:46.9. In the freshmen 4x200 meter relay, John Armwood ran 26.8, Peter Garrigan 27.2, Kolton Huber 25.6 and Said Boykin 25.1 to take 1st place in 1:44.7. In the freshman distance medley, Will Delaney ran a personal best 3:43.69 for the 1200 meters, Kolton Huber ran 58.03 for 400 meters, Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:24.63 for 800 meters and Billy Fitzpatrick ran 4:57.76 for 1600 meters for 2nd place in 12:04.1. On the "B" team same event, James Wright ran a personal best 3:47 for the 1200 meter leg, Brian Muller ran 67 for the 400 meter leg, Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 2:31 for 800 meters and Ethan Bandales ran 5:28 for 1600 meters to take 3rd place overall. In the freshmen 4x800 meter relay, Billy Fitzpatrick ran 2:12.72, Will Delaney ran 2:24.47, Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:23.34 and James Wright ran 2:25.63 to take 1st overall in 9:26.16.
April 26, 2013 The Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia saw the Marauder team of Senior Randall Wall, Sophomore Brandon Wimbush, Senior Gabe Gonzalez and Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick run 44.6 for the 4x100 meter relay to take 2nd in their heat and record the fastest time of all Hudson County schools.
April 27, 2013 The Randolph Relays at Randolph High School saw a new meet record in the 4x1600 meter relay, a St. Peter's Prep school record broken that was just established last week when Junior Chris Butko in a personal best ran 4:34.09, Junior Fritz Heinrich also in a personal best ran 4:30.20, Senior Ryan McGann ran 4:27.80 and Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:39.41 for a team time of 18:11.50 breaking the meet record by over 16 seconds. The time is considered First Team All American Elite by the nationally recognized track website Milesplit. It is also the 3rd fastest run in New Jersey this season and 58th in the United States.
In the Distance medley relay, Junior David DeLeon ran 3:30.31 a personal best in the 1200 meter leg, Senior Randall Wall also in a personal best ran 51.50 in the 400 meter leg, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:08.43 in the 800 meter leg and Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:37.06 to place 6th overall in a team time of 11:07.30.
April 29, 2013 The Jersey City Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Lincoln Park in Jersey City started with a 4th place finish by Senior Paul Henry in the Varsity Shot Put with a 36'2" throw. In the Varsity Javelin, Seniors Gabe Gonzalez was 1st with a 110'3" throw while Senior Gabe Almanza was 3rd with a 107'11" throw. In the Varsity Long Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 2nd with a 18'7.5" jump while Senior Randall Wall was 3rd with a 18'6.5" jump. In the Varsity Discus, Junior John Marano was 2nd with a 99'7" throw while Senior Kurt Espiritu was 5th with a 95'2" throw and Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 6th with a 93'9" throw. The team is in 1st place after these events.
In the freshmen competition, Peter Garrigan (59'4"), Mike Murphy (51'1") and Matt Fetherman (48'8") was 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the discus. In the javelin, Peter Garrigan (71'8"), Will Delaney (54'3") and Dominick Mastrodonato (52'2") was 1-2-3. In the long jump, Brandon Parrado was 3rd with a 11' 3.5" jump. The team is in 1st place after these events.
April 30, 2013 St. Peter's Prep Marauders won the Jersey City Varsity and Freshmen Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Lincoln Park in Jersey City. The running events started with Senior Randall Wall placing 3rd in 57.0 while Junior Barrington Bennett was 5th in 62.1 in the 400 intermediate hurdles. The next event was the 3200 meter run and led by Senior Ryan McGann in a personal outdoor best (9:45.1) the Marauders went 1-2-3 with Junior Fritz Heinrich in 2nd in 9:52.0 also a personal best and Junior Jimmy Sause in 10:01.2 for 3rd another personal best time. Their times are the 5th, 8th and 9th best in New Jersey so far this season. In the 100 meters, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 11.4 while Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 5th in 11.9.
In the 400 meters, Sophomores Nat Soliven was 5th in a personal best ran 54.4 and Brian Rojas ran 56.6. In the 110 meter hurdles Senior Randall Wall ran 15.3 to take 1st in a personal best while Junior Barrington Bennett was 4th in 17.0 also a personal best. In the 800 meter run, Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:04.9 to take 3rd place while Sophomore Declan Wollard was 4th in 2:09.4 and Junior David DeLeon was 6th in 2:10.5. In the 200 meter run, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 22.9 which is 4th fastest in New Jersey, Senior Randall Wall was 4th in 23.5 and Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 5th in 23.6.
In the high jump, Juniors Eamonn Dwyer was 1st in 6'2" while Barrington Bennett was 2nd in 5'6". In the 1600 meters, Junior Chris Butko in a personal best ran 4:31.1 and also in a personal outdoor best Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:31.5 to take 1st and 2nd. Their times are the 3rd and 4th fastest in New Jersey so far this season. In the 4x400 meter relay, Sophomores Brian Rojas (59.2), Nat Soliven (59.4), Alex Alberti (61.3) and Declan Wollard (57.7) ran 3:57.6 to take 4th place.
In the Freshmen Championship Division, the first event showed the continuing strength of the track program when in his first ever 400 intermediate hurdles, Billy Fitzpatrick took 1st place in 70.9, Robbie Wisowaty was 2nd also in a personal best 71.3 and Mike Murphy was 4th in 73.2. In the next event, Brandon Parrado ran 10:37.0 to win gold and would have actually finished 4th in the Varsity race since they were a combined run. Brandon's time is 5th amongst freshmen in New Jersey. In personal best times, James Wright ran 11:04 and Will Delaney ran 11:13.6 another great sign for next season's cross country team. In the 100 meter dash, Said Boykin was 1st in 11.8 that is the 4th fastest amongst freshmen in New Jersey, Kolton Huber was 4th in 12.3 and John Armwood was 6th in 12.8.
In the high jump, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in 4'6'. In the 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 2nd in 21.1 and Robbie Wisowaty was 3rd in 21.5. In the 400 meter run, Matt Fetherman was 2nd in 62.1 and Peter Garrigan was 3rd in 62.4. In the 800 meter run, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in 2:12.3 in a personal best that is the 2nd fastest amongst freshmen in New Jersey, Dominick Mastrodonato was 2nd in 2:28.4 also in a personal best and James Wright was 3rd and ran 2:31.7.
In the 200 meter run, Said Boykin in a personal best was 1st in 24.3 which is the 4th fastest time amongst Freshmen in New Jersey so far this season with another personal best when Kolton Huber ran 25.3 to take 2nd which is the 10th fastest in New Jersey. Peter Garrigan ran 26.7 for a personal best time. In the 1600 meters, Brandon Parrado was 3rd in 5:08.8, Will Delaney was 4th in 5:16.8 and Ethan Bandales was 5th in 5:37.3. In the final event of the meet, the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Matt Fetherman, Mike Murphy, Brian Muller and Dominick Mastrodonato was 1st. This is the largest margin of victory in the Jersey City Championships and the most points scored ever 204.
May 4, 2013 The Jesuit Championships at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City lived up to its billing when Senior Randall Wall on Randall's Island set the school record and personal best in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.96 and also was 1st in the 400 meter hurdles in 58.05. His 110 meter hurdle time is 10th best in New Jersey. In the 110 meter hurdles, Junior Barrington Bennett was 6th in 16.49 also a personal best while he ran 60.85 another personal best in the 400 meter hurdles to take 4th place. In the Junior Varsity 110 meter hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 2nd in 19.81. In the Junior Varsity 180 meter low hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 2nd in 26.57 and Freshman Mike Murphy was 3rd in 27.07.
In the Junior Varsity 400 meter intermediate hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 3rd and ran 68.79 and Freshmen Mike Murphy ran 72.26 in the Junior Varsity race. In the first ever Dream Mile, Senior Ryan McGann fighting off a cold ran 4:26.94 to take 3rd while Junior Fritz Heinrich in a personal best ran 4:28.96 for 6th place. Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:34.45. Ryan's time is 9th fastest in New Jersey while Fritz's time is 13th fastest.
In the Varsity 1600 meters, Junior Chris Butko ran 4:40.18 to take 1st place while Junior Jimmy Sause was 2nd in 4:43.57. Junior David Deleon ran a personal best 4:50.75, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran a personal best 4:57.06 and Sophomore Alex Alberti ran 5:02.4. In the Junior Varsity 1600 meters, Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best ran 4:53.60 for 4th place, Freshman Brandon Parrado ran 5:01.40 for 6th place, Freshmen Will Delaney ran 5:02.91 a personal best for 7th place, Freshman James Wright ran a personal best 5:14.08, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty in a personal best ran 5:14.34, Sophomore Bennett Wong ran a personal best 5:14.67, Freshman Dominick Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 5:29.90 and Freshman Ethan Bandales in a personal best ran 5:31.97.

Sophomore Bennett Wong in a personal best ran 10:59.97, Freshman Will Delaney in a personal best ran 11:10.86, Freshman James Wright ran 11:12.24, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty ran 11:27.24 in a personal best, Freshman Dom Mastrodonato ran a personal best 11:59.70 and Freshman Ethan Bandales ran a personal best in 12:07.97.
In the Varsity 100 meters, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 11.50. Senior Gabe Gonzalez ran 11.97. In the Varsity 200 meters, again Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 23.34 while Senior Randall Wall was 2nd in 23.38. Senior Gabe Gonzalez ran 24.17 and Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 25.76. In the 400 meters, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 56.90. In the Junior Varsity 100 meters, Sophomore Sean Ahearn was 5th in 13.23. Sean ran 12.88 in the trials while Sophomore Steven Sprofera ran 12.98 also in the trials. In the Freshman 100 meters, Kolton Huber was 2nd in 12.43. In the Junior Varsity 200 meters, Freshman Kolton Huber was 3rd in 25.56 while Sophomore Brian Rojas was 5th in 25.87. In the 200 meters, Steven Sprofera ran 26.98, Sophomore Sean Ahearn ran 26.99 and Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 28.11. In the Junior Varsity 400 meters, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 57.93 for 2nd place and Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 62.39.
In the Varsity High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped a personal best 6'6" and tied the St. Peter's Prep school record to take 1st place while Junior Barrington Bennett was 3rd with a jump of 5'8". Eamonn's jump is also the best ever by a Marauder Junior. His height is also 2nd Team All American Elite on the Nationally Recognized Website Milesplit and qualifies for the New Balance National Championships in the Emerging Elite Division. He is tied for 6th best in New Jersey. In the Varsity Long Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer went 18'1". In the Varsity Shot Put, Senior Paul Henry threw 35'4". In the Varsity Discus, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 90'11" while Senior Paul Henry threw 78'7". In the Junior Varsity Shot Put, Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 30' 8.5" a personal best.
May 6, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association (HCTCA) named Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick as Sprinter of the Month, Junior Eamonn Dwyer for Field Athlete of the Month and Junior Fritz Heinrich as Distance Runner of the Month. They also selected the 6400 meter relay team as relay of the month. The team includes Senior Ryan McGann, Juniors Fritz Heinrich, Chris Butko and Jimmy Sause.
May 9, 2013 St. Peter's Prep's Distance Medley Relay finished 9th in the East Coast Challenge Distance Medley Relay race at the 46th Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Games at White Plains High School in New York. Their time of 10:28.97 is the 10th fastest in New Jersey, it is a new school outdoor record and on the Nationally recognized website Milesplit it is 1st Team All American Elite. The team led off with Junior Fritz Heinrich running 3:12.72 for the 1200 meters, Senior Randall Wall ran 51.79 for the 400 meter leg, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:00.81 for the 800 meter leg and Senior Ryan McGann ran 4:23.65 for the 1600 meter leg. The time also qualified for the New Balance National Championship in the Emerging Elite Division.
May 11, 2013 The Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Games saw the Marauders first medal when Senior Randall Wall took 5th place overall in 14.95 FAT which is a new St. Peter's Prep school record. In the high jump not to be outdone, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 2nd with a 6'4" jump to take the silver medal.
In the 4x800 meter relay, the Marauders led by Junior Fritz Heinrich's 1:57.41 took 7th place overall in 7:59.75. This is a new school record in this event, the first time in school history to break 8 minutes, it is the 9th fastest in New Jersey and on the Nationally recognized track website Milesplit it is First Team All American Elite. Junior Chris Butko led off in 1:59.50, next was Senior Ryan McGann (who earlier fell during the mile run and had four major bruises on his knees, hip and elbow) ran 2:00.44, next was Junior Fritz Heinrich's 1:57.41 and anchored by Junior Dan Apicella with a 2:02.40. The time also qualifies for the New Balance National Championships in the Emerging Elite Division.
May 16, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association (HCTCA) Championships at Secaucus High School started with the field events with Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick in his first Varsity Long Jump ever took 2nd place with a first jump of 19'10.25". Senior Randall Wall was 5th with a 18'4.25" jump while Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 6th with a 18'1.25" jump. In the Varsity High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 1st with a 6'2" jump while Junior Barrington Bennett was tied for 5th with a 5'6" jump. In the Varsity Javelin, Senior Gabe Gonzalez with his personal best throw went 120'0" for 7th place. In the Varsity Discus, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 103' for a personal best while Junior John Marano threw 95'.
In the Freshmen events, Peter Garrigan threw a personal best in the javelin to take 2nd place overall of 85'4"
May 18, 2013 St. Peter's Prep Outdoor Track and Field Team won HCTCA Championships. This is the first time in Head Coach Mike Burgess's career at St. Peter's that he won all three seasons with County Championships in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Tack. He also has four County Championships in a row. The meet resumed with Senior Randall Wall in a personal best took 3rd place with a 55.98 400 meter Intermediate Hurdles. Junior Barrington Bennett was 8th in 61.05 while Sophomore Will Springer in a personal best was 66.37. In the 3200 meter run, the Marauders had a 1-2-3 sweep with Junior Fritz Heinrich running in a personal best of 9:46.23, Senior Ryan McGann running 9:48.50 and Junior Jimmy Sause in a spectacular personal best of 9:54.25. In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 4th in 11.25. Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 10th in 11.75 while Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 14th in 11.85.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 15.17 while running 15.01 in the preliminary trials. Junior Barrington Bennett in a personal best was 4th in 15.95. Sophomore Will Springer ran 20.07. In the 800 meter run, Junior Chris Butko was 3rd in a personal best of 1:59.06 while Junior David DeLeon ran 2:09.38. In the Varsity Shot Put, Senior Kurt Espiritu was 3rd with a throw of 42'6.5". Senior Paul Henry threw 35'6" and Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 33'9". In the Varsity Triple Jump, again Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick in his first ever jump went 40'4.75" to take 2nd place. Senior Randall Wall was 6th with a jump of 38'4".
In the Varsity 200 meters, that determined the outcome of the meet, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick upset the field by winning the gold in 22.54. Sophomore Brandon Wimbush ran 23.81 and Senior Gabe Gonzalez in a personal best ran 23.94. In the Varsity 1600 meter run, Junior Dan Apicella running a personal best was 2nd in 4:29.91. Junior Fritz Heinrich was 3rd in 4:30.16 and Senior Ryan McGann was 4th in 4:32.08. In the final event of the meet, the 4x400 meter relay, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 55.77, Junior David Deleon ran 56.74, Junior Chris Butko ran a personal best 53.97 and Sophomore Declan Wollard also in a personal best anchored in 55.31 to run a team time of 3:41.74 to take 5th place.
The Freshmen also won the HCTCA Championships. In the 400 meter hurdles, Billy Fitzpatrick was 3rd in a personal best 68.97. Two more personal best times were run when Mike Murphy was 5th in 70.29 and Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 71.07. In the 100 meter dash, Kolton Huber in a personal best ran 12.19 in the preliminary trials and took 4th in 12.25 in the finals. Peter Garrigan ran a personal best of 13.24 and another personal best was run by Matt Fetherman in 13.69. In the high jump, Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best jumped 4'10". In the 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 3rd in a personal best of 20.72.
In the 400 meters, Peter Garrigan in a personal best ran 60.52 to take 4th while Matt Fetherman ran a personal best of 61.93. In the 800 meter run, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in a personal best of 2:09.93 while Brandon Parrado was 2nd in another personal best of 2:15.36. Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 2:22.70 and Dom Mastrodonato ran 2:31.14. In the 200 meter dash, Kolton Huber in a personal best ran 24.76 to take 4th place. Peter Garrigan ran 26.77 and Matt Fetherman ran 27.22. In the final event of the meet, Brandon Parrado was 3rd in 4:54.76, Will Delaney was 4th in a personal best of 4:59.40 while James Wright in a personal best of 5:07.59 and also in a personal best Dom Mastrodonato ran 5:24.90.
In the Sophomore Division 400 meters, Brian Rojas was 7th in a personal best time of 56.36. Sean Ahearn ran a personal best of 59.83 while Mike Cid ran 62.68 a personal best. In the Sophomore 1600 meter run, Alex Alberti was 2rd in 4:56.36, Declan Wollard ran a personal best of 4:57.20 and Bennett Wong in a personal best ran 5:06.76.
May 19, 2013 The Catholic Track Conference Frosh-Sophomore Track Championships at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, NJ saw a few personal best times for the Marauders. Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick was 3rd in a personal best time of 4:45.80 in the 1600 meter run. Freshman Brandon Parrado was 5th in a personal best of 10:23.60 in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Nat Soliven was 6th in a personal best of 54.90 in the 400 meter run. Freshman Kolton Huber was 6th in 12.60 in the 100 meter dash.
In the freshmen 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy ran 20.30 and Robbie Wisowaty ran 21.50. In the 400 meter intermediate hurdles, Freshmen Robbie Wisowaty ran 70.70 and Mike Murphy ran 71.90. In the Sophomore race, Will Springer ran 72.30. In the Sophomore Shot Put, Steven Sprofera threw 32'5".
In the freshmen 200 meters, Matt Fetherman ran 27.20. In the Sophomore 200 meters, Nat Soliven ran 25.60, Steven Sprofera ran 26.70, Mike Cid ran 27.20 and Sean Ahearn ran 27.30. In the Sophomore 400 meters, Brain Rojas ran 56.90. In the Sophomore 800 meters, Declan Wollard ran 2:08.30.
In the freshmen 1600 meters, Will Delaney ran 5:01.70, James Wright ran 5:06.40 and Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 5:24.90. In the Sophomore 1600 meters, Alex Alberti ran 5:00.60 and Bennett Wong ran 5:11.60.
May 20, 2013 The East Coast Relays at Randolph High School saw the Marauders set a new school record for the 6400 meter relay (4x1600), take 5th place overall, run a time that qualifies for 1st team All American on the nationally recognized website Milesplit and all of this when all of our runners were affected by the 90 degree heat. Junior Fritz Heinrich ran his fastest 1600 meter ever in 4:27.12 to lead off, Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:37.57, Senior Ryan McGann ran his fastest of the season in 4:24.69 and Junior Chris Butko ran 4:40.92 for a team time of 18:10.30.
April 1, 2013 The St. Dominic Academy Invitational at Lincoln Park had some very domineering performances by the Marauders in their first meet of the outdoor season. In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 11.6, Junior Jon Hilliman was 2nd in 11.7, Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 4th in 11.8 and Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 5th in 11.9. In the 1600 meter run, Juniors Chris Butko (4:44.6), Fritz Heinrich (4:45.1) and Jimmy Sause (4:45.3) went 1-2-3 in the event. In the 110 meter high hurdles Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 15.2 while Junior Barrington Bennett was 5th in 17.3.
In the High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 3rd with a 5'10" jump while Senior Kurt Espiritu was 1st in the shot put with a 44'3" throw while Sophomore Jordan Fox threw 39'2" for 2nd place in the Sophomore division. In the Javelin, Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 2nd with a 111'3" foot throw and Gabe Almanza was 3rd with a 108'7". In the 3200 meter run, Juniors Jimmy Sause (10:36.6) was 1st, Fritz Heinrich (10:43.6) was 2nd and David DeLeon was 4th in 11:09.0. In the 200 meter dash, Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 24.0, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 24.1 and Junior Jon Hilliman was 4th in 24.5. In the 400 meter hurdles, Senior Randall Wall was 2nd in 57.3 and Junior Barrington Bennett was 4th in 63.6.
In the freshman 400 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 4th in 73.5. In the Sophomore 400 meter hurdles Will Springer was 5th in 72.4 and Brian Rojas was 6th in 74.4. In the Frosh 110 meter high hurdles, Mile Murphy was 1st in the event in 21.6. In the Sophomore 110 meter high hurdles, Will Springer was 5th in 20.4.
In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Anthony Sabia was 5th in 12.5. In the Frosh 1600 meter run, Brandon Parrado was 2nd in 4:58.8, Billy Fitzpatrick was 4th in 5:04.9, Will Delaney ran 5:12.7, James Wright ran 5:21.5, Robbie Wisowaty ran 5:23.1, Ethan Bandales ran 5:46.7, Dom Mastrodonato ran 5:48.8 and Brian Muller ran 6:15.1. In the Sophomore 1600 meter run, Alex Alberti ran 5:05.0 for 4th place, Declan Wollard ran 5:14.0 and Bennett Wong ran 5:32.2.
In the Frosh 3200 meter run, Brandon Parrado was 1st in 10:55.7, Billy Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 11:10.0, James Wright was 4th in 11:39.0, Will Delaney was 5th in 11:44.7 and Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 11:46.1. In the Sophomore 3200 meter run, Alex Alberti was 2nd in 10:55.4, Delan Wollard was 4th in 11:30.9 and Bennett Wong was 6th in 12:00.5.

April 5, 2013 The Rebel Relays at Howell High School saw the Marauders for the first time in the Frosh/Sophomore meet. Although missing some of the team, the 4x100 meter relay took 4th overall running from the second heat in 50.5. The team consisted of Sophomore Steven Sprofera in 12.8, Freshman Kolton Huber in 13.6, Sophomore Anthony Sabia in 11.4 and Sophomore Dwon Walker in 12.6.
In the distance medley relay, the team of Freshman Brandon Parrado running the 1200 meter leg (3:34.88), Sophomore Nat Soliven on the 400 meter leg (59.24), Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:11.94 for the 800 meter leg and anchored by Sophomore Alex Alberti on the 1600 meter run ran 5:01.79 and a team time of 11:47.8 and a 5th place finish. The "B" team of Sophomore Steven Millad ran 3:47.9 for the 1200 meters, Freshman Peter Garrigan ran 66.1 for the 400 meters, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:30.5 for the 800 meters and Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best ran 4:59.1 for a team time of 12:23.6. On the "C" team Freshman Will Delaney ran 3:53.60 for the 1200 meters, Freshman Mike Murphy ran 62.81 for the 400 meters, Freshman Dom Mastrodonato ran 2:37.38 for the 800 meters and Freshman James Wright in a personal best ran 5:17.15 for the 1600 meters for a team time of 12:50.94.
In the Sprint Medley relay, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 58.8 for the 400 meters, Freshman Kolton Huber ran 26.4 for 200 meters, Sophomore Anthony Sabia ran 25.6 for 200 meters and Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:14.5 for 800 meters for a team time of 4:05.3 for a 4th place finish. The "B" team of Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick ran 60.85 for the 400 meters, Sophomore Steven Sprofera ran 26.6 for 200 meters, Sophomore Dwon Walker ran 27.8 for 200 meters and Freshman Brandon Parrado ran 2:18.00 for the anchor 800 meters for a team time of 4:12.25.
In the Sophomore 4x400 meter relay, Freshman Mile Cid ran 65.69, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 59.84, Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 64.79 and Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 58.03 for a team time of 4:08.35 and a 6th place finish.
April 6, 2013 The Rebel Relays at Howell High School saw a greatly depleted lineup of the Varsity team because of illness only compete in one race with a 7th place finish for the distance medley relay of Junior Jimmy Sause in the 1200 meter run 3:27.72, Senior Tre Bell run 56.97 in the 400 meter leg, Junior David Deleon run 2:11.91 in the 800 meter portion and anchored by Junior Chris Butko in 5:00.62 on the 1600 meter leg.
April 11, 2013 The Hudson County Interscholastic Athletic League (HCIAL) Relay Championships started with a 2nd place finish by Junior Eamonn Dwyer with a personal best 18'3.5" jump and Anthony Sabia went 16' 11" in the long run relay. In the discus relay, Sophomore John Marano in a personal best threw 89' while Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 87'. In the javelin relay, Senior Gabe Almanza threw 104' and Senior Gabe Gonzalez threw 97'8". In the freshmen shot put relay, Billy Fitzpatrick threw 25'1" and Robbie Wisowaty threw 23'11.5" to take 3rd place.
April 13, 2013 The HCIAL relays started with a 2nd place finish in the 4x1600 meter event with Freshman Brandon Parrado running 4:55.88, Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:43.18, Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick ran 4:56.41 and Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:52.83 for a team time of 19:28.30. In the 4x100 meter relay a full Sophomore team of Anthony Sabia, Dwon Walker, Brandon Wimbush and Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 46.9 for a 3rd place finish. In the 3x400 intermediate hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer ran 71.56, Freshman Mike Murphy ran a personal best of 75.85 and Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 77.59. In the 4x800 meter relay, Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:06.44, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:02.88, Junior David DeLeon ran 2:11.84 and Senior Ryan McGann ran 2:02.22 for a 2nd place finish in 8:23.38. In the freshman 4x800 meter relay, the Marauders were 1st with Robbie Wisowaty running a personal best of 2:21.66, followed by another personal best by Will Delaney in 2:25.13, followed by another personal best of 2:14.21 by Billy Fitzpatrick and Brandon Parrado in 2:19.70 for a team time of 9:20.60.
In other freshmen races, the distance medley relay led by Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best of 2:33.32 on the 800 meter leg, a personal best of 62.59 by Peter Garrigan in the 400 meter leg, another personal best of 3:52.88 on the 1200 meter leg by James Wright and Will Delaney on the 1600 meter leg with a time of 5:26.61 for a team time of 12:54.40. In the freshmen sprint medley relay, Matt Fetherman ran 27.53 and Said Boykin ran 25.13 on the 200 meter legs, Kolton Huber ran a personal best 57.31 on the 400 meter leg and Billy Fitzpatrick on his 3rd personal best times of the day ran 2:12.47 on the 800 meter leg for a combined winning time of 4:02.44. In the 4x200 meter relay, the team of Matt Fetherman, Kolton Huber, Said Boykin and John Armwood ran 1:46.8 to take 2nd place.
On the Varsity distance medley, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:10.22 on the 800 meter leg, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 57.00 on the 400 meter leg, Senior Ryan McGann ran 3:21.66 on the 1200 meter leg and Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:56.02 on the 1600 meter leg for a team time of 11:25.40 and a 2nd place finish. In the Varsity sprint medley relay, Sophomore Anthony Sabia ran 25.82, Junior Tucker Freeman ran 27.31 on the 200 meter legs, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 55.49 on the 400 meter leg and Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:11.48 on the 800 meter leg for a team time of 4:00.10.
In the shot put relay, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 40'4.25" and Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 31'8.5". In the high jump relay, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 6'2" for the best jump of the day. In the Varsity 4x400 meter relay, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 56.62, Sophomore Sean Ahearn ran 65.56, Sophomore Mike Cid ran 65.16 and Junior Dan Apicella ran 56.81.
April 20, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association at Kearny High School could not have started any better for the Marauders. In the first event of the meet, the Varsity 4x1600 meter team of Juniors Chris Butko in a personal best (4:35.16), Fritz Heinrich (4:34.69), Dan Apicella (4:43.26) and Jimmy Sause in a personal best (4:38.59) ran 18:31.7 to take 2nd place. This time is the 7th best in New Jersey and on the nationally recognized website Milesplit it is regarded as Second Team All American Elite. It is only 1.7 seconds from First Team. It also breaks the one year old St. Peter's Prep school record just established of 18:42.23. In the 2nd event of the meet, the Varsity Shuttle Hurdles, the team of Freshman Mike Murphy, Sophomore Will Springer, Junior Barrington Bennett and Senior Randall Wall ran 1:14.6 to take 4th place overall. In the Varsity shot put relay, Seniors Kurt Espiritu (43'9.5") and Paul Henry (39'3") took 3rd place overall with a combined throw of 83'.
In the 400 Intermediate Hurdles, Senior Randall Wall ran 60.3, Junior Barrington Bennett ran 64.8 and Sophomore Will Springer ran 72.3 to take 5th place in 3:14.4. In the high jump relay, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 6'2" and Junior Barrington Bennett jumped 5'4" to take 4th place in 11'6". In the 4x100 meter relay, Anthony Sabia, Gabe Gonzalez, Tre Bell and Minkah Fitzpatrick ran 45.8. In the 4x200 meter relay, Gabe Gonzalez (24.2), Anthony Sabia (26.6), Tre Bell (25.3) and Minkah Fitzpatrick (22.5) ran 1:38.6. In the long jump relay, Senior Randall Wall jumped 19'10.25" and Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped 17'10.5" to take 4th place in 37'8.75".
In the Varsity distance medley relay, Junior David Deleon ran 3:36.88 for 1200 meters, Junior Jimmy Sause ran 60.03 for 400 meters, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:13.56 for 800 meters and Sophomore Alex Alberti ran 5:02.54 for 1600 meters for a team time of 11:53.01 for 6th place. In the Varsity 4x800 meter relay, Juniors Chris Butko ran 2:06.12, Fritz Heinrich ran 2:07.22, David DeLeon ran 2:10.84 and Dan Apicella ran 2:06.02 to take 1st place in 8:30.2.

In the freshmen 4x200 meter relay, John Armwood ran 26.8, Peter Garrigan 27.2, Kolton Huber 25.6 and Said Boykin 25.1 to take 1st place in 1:44.7. In the freshman distance medley, Will Delaney ran a personal best 3:43.69 for the 1200 meters, Kolton Huber ran 58.03 for 400 meters, Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:24.63 for 800 meters and Billy Fitzpatrick ran 4:57.76 for 1600 meters for 2nd place in 12:04.1. On the "B" team same event, James Wright ran a personal best 3:47 for the 1200 meter leg, Brian Muller ran 67 for the 400 meter leg, Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 2:31 for 800 meters and Ethan Bandales ran 5:28 for 1600 meters to take 3rd place overall. In the freshmen 4x800 meter relay, Billy Fitzpatrick ran 2:12.72, Will Delaney ran 2:24.47, Robbie Wisowaty ran 2:23.34 and James Wright ran 2:25.63 to take 1st overall in 9:26.16.
April 26, 2013 The Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia saw the Marauder team of Senior Randall Wall, Sophomore Brandon Wimbush, Senior Gabe Gonzalez and Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick run 44.6 for the 4x100 meter relay to take 2nd in their heat and record the fastest time of all Hudson County schools.
April 27, 2013 The Randolph Relays at Randolph High School saw a new meet record in the 4x1600 meter relay, a St. Peter's Prep school record broken that was just established last week when Junior Chris Butko in a personal best ran 4:34.09, Junior Fritz Heinrich also in a personal best ran 4:30.20, Senior Ryan McGann ran 4:27.80 and Junior Jimmy Sause ran 4:39.41 for a team time of 18:11.50 breaking the meet record by over 16 seconds. The time is considered First Team All American Elite by the nationally recognized track website Milesplit. It is also the 3rd fastest run in New Jersey this season and 58th in the United States.
In the Distance medley relay, Junior David DeLeon ran 3:30.31 a personal best in the 1200 meter leg, Senior Randall Wall also in a personal best ran 51.50 in the 400 meter leg, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran 2:08.43 in the 800 meter leg and Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:37.06 to place 6th overall in a team time of 11:07.30.
April 29, 2013 The Jersey City Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Lincoln Park in Jersey City started with a 4th place finish by Senior Paul Henry in the Varsity Shot Put with a 36'2" throw. In the Varsity Javelin, Seniors Gabe Gonzalez was 1st with a 110'3" throw while Senior Gabe Almanza was 3rd with a 107'11" throw. In the Varsity Long Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 2nd with a 18'7.5" jump while Senior Randall Wall was 3rd with a 18'6.5" jump. In the Varsity Discus, Junior John Marano was 2nd with a 99'7" throw while Senior Kurt Espiritu was 5th with a 95'2" throw and Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 6th with a 93'9" throw. The team is in 1st place after these events.
In the freshmen competition, Peter Garrigan (59'4"), Mike Murphy (51'1") and Matt Fetherman (48'8") was 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the discus. In the javelin, Peter Garrigan (71'8"), Will Delaney (54'3") and Dominick Mastrodonato (52'2") was 1-2-3. In the long jump, Brandon Parrado was 3rd with a 11' 3.5" jump. The team is in 1st place after these events.
April 30, 2013 St. Peter's Prep Marauders won the Jersey City Varsity and Freshmen Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Lincoln Park in Jersey City. The running events started with Senior Randall Wall placing 3rd in 57.0 while Junior Barrington Bennett was 5th in 62.1 in the 400 intermediate hurdles. The next event was the 3200 meter run and led by Senior Ryan McGann in a personal outdoor best (9:45.1) the Marauders went 1-2-3 with Junior Fritz Heinrich in 2nd in 9:52.0 also a personal best and Junior Jimmy Sause in 10:01.2 for 3rd another personal best time. Their times are the 5th, 8th and 9th best in New Jersey so far this season. In the 100 meters, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 2nd in 11.4 while Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 5th in 11.9.
In the 400 meters, Sophomores Nat Soliven was 5th in a personal best ran 54.4 and Brian Rojas ran 56.6. In the 110 meter hurdles Senior Randall Wall ran 15.3 to take 1st in a personal best while Junior Barrington Bennett was 4th in 17.0 also a personal best. In the 800 meter run, Junior Fritz Heinrich ran 2:04.9 to take 3rd place while Sophomore Declan Wollard was 4th in 2:09.4 and Junior David DeLeon was 6th in 2:10.5. In the 200 meter run, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 22.9 which is 4th fastest in New Jersey, Senior Randall Wall was 4th in 23.5 and Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 5th in 23.6.
In the high jump, Juniors Eamonn Dwyer was 1st in 6'2" while Barrington Bennett was 2nd in 5'6". In the 1600 meters, Junior Chris Butko in a personal best ran 4:31.1 and also in a personal outdoor best Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:31.5 to take 1st and 2nd. Their times are the 3rd and 4th fastest in New Jersey so far this season. In the 4x400 meter relay, Sophomores Brian Rojas (59.2), Nat Soliven (59.4), Alex Alberti (61.3) and Declan Wollard (57.7) ran 3:57.6 to take 4th place.
In the Freshmen Championship Division, the first event showed the continuing strength of the track program when in his first ever 400 intermediate hurdles, Billy Fitzpatrick took 1st place in 70.9, Robbie Wisowaty was 2nd also in a personal best 71.3 and Mike Murphy was 4th in 73.2. In the next event, Brandon Parrado ran 10:37.0 to win gold and would have actually finished 4th in the Varsity race since they were a combined run. Brandon's time is 5th amongst freshmen in New Jersey. In personal best times, James Wright ran 11:04 and Will Delaney ran 11:13.6 another great sign for next season's cross country team. In the 100 meter dash, Said Boykin was 1st in 11.8 that is the 4th fastest amongst freshmen in New Jersey, Kolton Huber was 4th in 12.3 and John Armwood was 6th in 12.8.
In the high jump, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in 4'6'. In the 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 2nd in 21.1 and Robbie Wisowaty was 3rd in 21.5. In the 400 meter run, Matt Fetherman was 2nd in 62.1 and Peter Garrigan was 3rd in 62.4. In the 800 meter run, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in 2:12.3 in a personal best that is the 2nd fastest amongst freshmen in New Jersey, Dominick Mastrodonato was 2nd in 2:28.4 also in a personal best and James Wright was 3rd and ran 2:31.7.
In the 200 meter run, Said Boykin in a personal best was 1st in 24.3 which is the 4th fastest time amongst Freshmen in New Jersey so far this season with another personal best when Kolton Huber ran 25.3 to take 2nd which is the 10th fastest in New Jersey. Peter Garrigan ran 26.7 for a personal best time. In the 1600 meters, Brandon Parrado was 3rd in 5:08.8, Will Delaney was 4th in 5:16.8 and Ethan Bandales was 5th in 5:37.3. In the final event of the meet, the 4x400 meter relay, the team of Matt Fetherman, Mike Murphy, Brian Muller and Dominick Mastrodonato was 1st. This is the largest margin of victory in the Jersey City Championships and the most points scored ever 204.
May 4, 2013 The Jesuit Championships at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City lived up to its billing when Senior Randall Wall on Randall's Island set the school record and personal best in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.96 and also was 1st in the 400 meter hurdles in 58.05. His 110 meter hurdle time is 10th best in New Jersey. In the 110 meter hurdles, Junior Barrington Bennett was 6th in 16.49 also a personal best while he ran 60.85 another personal best in the 400 meter hurdles to take 4th place. In the Junior Varsity 110 meter hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 2nd in 19.81. In the Junior Varsity 180 meter low hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 2nd in 26.57 and Freshman Mike Murphy was 3rd in 27.07.
In the Junior Varsity 400 meter intermediate hurdles, Sophomore Will Springer was 3rd and ran 68.79 and Freshmen Mike Murphy ran 72.26 in the Junior Varsity race. In the first ever Dream Mile, Senior Ryan McGann fighting off a cold ran 4:26.94 to take 3rd while Junior Fritz Heinrich in a personal best ran 4:28.96 for 6th place. Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:34.45. Ryan's time is 9th fastest in New Jersey while Fritz's time is 13th fastest.
In the Varsity 1600 meters, Junior Chris Butko ran 4:40.18 to take 1st place while Junior Jimmy Sause was 2nd in 4:43.57. Junior David Deleon ran a personal best 4:50.75, Sophomore Declan Wollard ran a personal best 4:57.06 and Sophomore Alex Alberti ran 5:02.4. In the Junior Varsity 1600 meters, Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best ran 4:53.60 for 4th place, Freshman Brandon Parrado ran 5:01.40 for 6th place, Freshmen Will Delaney ran 5:02.91 a personal best for 7th place, Freshman James Wright ran a personal best 5:14.08, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty in a personal best ran 5:14.34, Sophomore Bennett Wong ran a personal best 5:14.67, Freshman Dominick Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 5:29.90 and Freshman Ethan Bandales in a personal best ran 5:31.97.
In the Varsity 3200 meter run, Junior Jimmy Sause ran a personal best 10:00.61 for 3rd place, Junior Fritz Heinrich was 5th in 10:09.68, Junior Chris Butko in a personal best ran 10:13.86 for 6th, Junior Dan Apicella in a personal best ran 10:19.69, Junior David DeLeon in a personal best ran 10:42.00, Sophomore Alex Alberti in a personal best ran 10:48.49 and Sophomore Declan Wollard also in a personal best ran 10:53.10. In the Junior Varsity 3200 meter run, Freshmen Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in a personal best ran 10:42.50 while Brandon Parrado ran 10:43.37 for 2nd place. Sophomore Bennett Wong in a personal best ran 10:59.97, Freshman Will Delaney in a personal best ran 11:10.86, Freshman James Wright ran 11:12.24, Freshman Robbie Wisowaty ran 11:27.24 in a personal best, Freshman Dom Mastrodonato ran a personal best 11:59.70 and Freshman Ethan Bandales ran a personal best in 12:07.97.
In the Varsity 100 meters, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 11.50. Senior Gabe Gonzalez ran 11.97. In the Varsity 200 meters, again Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 1st in 23.34 while Senior Randall Wall was 2nd in 23.38. Senior Gabe Gonzalez ran 24.17 and Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 25.76. In the 400 meters, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 56.90. In the Junior Varsity 100 meters, Sophomore Sean Ahearn was 5th in 13.23. Sean ran 12.88 in the trials while Sophomore Steven Sprofera ran 12.98 also in the trials. In the Freshman 100 meters, Kolton Huber was 2nd in 12.43. In the Junior Varsity 200 meters, Freshman Kolton Huber was 3rd in 25.56 while Sophomore Brian Rojas was 5th in 25.87. In the 200 meters, Steven Sprofera ran 26.98, Sophomore Sean Ahearn ran 26.99 and Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 28.11. In the Junior Varsity 400 meters, Sophomore Brian Rojas ran 57.93 for 2nd place and Freshman Matt Fetherman ran 62.39.
In the Varsity High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer jumped a personal best 6'6" and tied the St. Peter's Prep school record to take 1st place while Junior Barrington Bennett was 3rd with a jump of 5'8". Eamonn's jump is also the best ever by a Marauder Junior. His height is also 2nd Team All American Elite on the Nationally Recognized Website Milesplit and qualifies for the New Balance National Championships in the Emerging Elite Division. He is tied for 6th best in New Jersey. In the Varsity Long Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer went 18'1". In the Varsity Shot Put, Senior Paul Henry threw 35'4". In the Varsity Discus, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 90'11" while Senior Paul Henry threw 78'7". In the Junior Varsity Shot Put, Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 30' 8.5" a personal best.
May 6, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association (HCTCA) named Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick as Sprinter of the Month, Junior Eamonn Dwyer for Field Athlete of the Month and Junior Fritz Heinrich as Distance Runner of the Month. They also selected the 6400 meter relay team as relay of the month. The team includes Senior Ryan McGann, Juniors Fritz Heinrich, Chris Butko and Jimmy Sause.
May 9, 2013 St. Peter's Prep's Distance Medley Relay finished 9th in the East Coast Challenge Distance Medley Relay race at the 46th Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Games at White Plains High School in New York. Their time of 10:28.97 is the 10th fastest in New Jersey, it is a new school outdoor record and on the Nationally recognized website Milesplit it is 1st Team All American Elite. The team led off with Junior Fritz Heinrich running 3:12.72 for the 1200 meters, Senior Randall Wall ran 51.79 for the 400 meter leg, Junior Chris Butko ran 2:00.81 for the 800 meter leg and Senior Ryan McGann ran 4:23.65 for the 1600 meter leg. The time also qualified for the New Balance National Championship in the Emerging Elite Division.
May 11, 2013 The Glenn D. Loucks Memorial Games saw the Marauders first medal when Senior Randall Wall took 5th place overall in 14.95 FAT which is a new St. Peter's Prep school record. In the high jump not to be outdone, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 2nd with a 6'4" jump to take the silver medal.
In the 4x800 meter relay, the Marauders led by Junior Fritz Heinrich's 1:57.41 took 7th place overall in 7:59.75. This is a new school record in this event, the first time in school history to break 8 minutes, it is the 9th fastest in New Jersey and on the Nationally recognized track website Milesplit it is First Team All American Elite. Junior Chris Butko led off in 1:59.50, next was Senior Ryan McGann (who earlier fell during the mile run and had four major bruises on his knees, hip and elbow) ran 2:00.44, next was Junior Fritz Heinrich's 1:57.41 and anchored by Junior Dan Apicella with a 2:02.40. The time also qualifies for the New Balance National Championships in the Emerging Elite Division.
May 16, 2013 The Hudson County Track Coaches Association (HCTCA) Championships at Secaucus High School started with the field events with Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick in his first Varsity Long Jump ever took 2nd place with a first jump of 19'10.25". Senior Randall Wall was 5th with a 18'4.25" jump while Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 6th with a 18'1.25" jump. In the Varsity High Jump, Junior Eamonn Dwyer was 1st with a 6'2" jump while Junior Barrington Bennett was tied for 5th with a 5'6" jump. In the Varsity Javelin, Senior Gabe Gonzalez with his personal best throw went 120'0" for 7th place. In the Varsity Discus, Senior Kurt Espiritu threw 103' for a personal best while Junior John Marano threw 95'.
In the Freshmen events, Peter Garrigan threw a personal best in the javelin to take 2nd place overall of 85'4"
May 18, 2013 St. Peter's Prep Outdoor Track and Field Team won HCTCA Championships. This is the first time in Head Coach Mike Burgess's career at St. Peter's that he won all three seasons with County Championships in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Tack. He also has four County Championships in a row. The meet resumed with Senior Randall Wall in a personal best took 3rd place with a 55.98 400 meter Intermediate Hurdles. Junior Barrington Bennett was 8th in 61.05 while Sophomore Will Springer in a personal best was 66.37. In the 3200 meter run, the Marauders had a 1-2-3 sweep with Junior Fritz Heinrich running in a personal best of 9:46.23, Senior Ryan McGann running 9:48.50 and Junior Jimmy Sause in a spectacular personal best of 9:54.25. In the 100 meter dash, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick was 4th in 11.25. Sophomore Brandon Wimbush was 10th in 11.75 while Senior Gabe Gonzalez was 14th in 11.85.
In the 110 meter hurdles, Senior Randall Wall was 1st in 15.17 while running 15.01 in the preliminary trials. Junior Barrington Bennett in a personal best was 4th in 15.95. Sophomore Will Springer ran 20.07. In the 800 meter run, Junior Chris Butko was 3rd in a personal best of 1:59.06 while Junior David DeLeon ran 2:09.38. In the Varsity Shot Put, Senior Kurt Espiritu was 3rd with a throw of 42'6.5". Senior Paul Henry threw 35'6" and Sophomore Steven Sprofera threw 33'9". In the Varsity Triple Jump, again Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick in his first ever jump went 40'4.75" to take 2nd place. Senior Randall Wall was 6th with a jump of 38'4".
In the Varsity 200 meters, that determined the outcome of the meet, Sophomore Minkah Fitzpatrick upset the field by winning the gold in 22.54. Sophomore Brandon Wimbush ran 23.81 and Senior Gabe Gonzalez in a personal best ran 23.94. In the Varsity 1600 meter run, Junior Dan Apicella running a personal best was 2nd in 4:29.91. Junior Fritz Heinrich was 3rd in 4:30.16 and Senior Ryan McGann was 4th in 4:32.08. In the final event of the meet, the 4x400 meter relay, Sophomore Nat Soliven ran 55.77, Junior David Deleon ran 56.74, Junior Chris Butko ran a personal best 53.97 and Sophomore Declan Wollard also in a personal best anchored in 55.31 to run a team time of 3:41.74 to take 5th place.
The Freshmen also won the HCTCA Championships. In the 400 meter hurdles, Billy Fitzpatrick was 3rd in a personal best 68.97. Two more personal best times were run when Mike Murphy was 5th in 70.29 and Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 71.07. In the 100 meter dash, Kolton Huber in a personal best ran 12.19 in the preliminary trials and took 4th in 12.25 in the finals. Peter Garrigan ran a personal best of 13.24 and another personal best was run by Matt Fetherman in 13.69. In the high jump, Billy Fitzpatrick in a personal best jumped 4'10". In the 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy was 3rd in a personal best of 20.72.
In the 400 meters, Peter Garrigan in a personal best ran 60.52 to take 4th while Matt Fetherman ran a personal best of 61.93. In the 800 meter run, Billy Fitzpatrick was 1st in a personal best of 2:09.93 while Brandon Parrado was 2nd in another personal best of 2:15.36. Robbie Wisowaty was 6th in 2:22.70 and Dom Mastrodonato ran 2:31.14. In the 200 meter dash, Kolton Huber in a personal best ran 24.76 to take 4th place. Peter Garrigan ran 26.77 and Matt Fetherman ran 27.22. In the final event of the meet, Brandon Parrado was 3rd in 4:54.76, Will Delaney was 4th in a personal best of 4:59.40 while James Wright in a personal best of 5:07.59 and also in a personal best Dom Mastrodonato ran 5:24.90.
In the Sophomore Division 400 meters, Brian Rojas was 7th in a personal best time of 56.36. Sean Ahearn ran a personal best of 59.83 while Mike Cid ran 62.68 a personal best. In the Sophomore 1600 meter run, Alex Alberti was 2rd in 4:56.36, Declan Wollard ran a personal best of 4:57.20 and Bennett Wong in a personal best ran 5:06.76.
May 19, 2013 The Catholic Track Conference Frosh-Sophomore Track Championships at St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, NJ saw a few personal best times for the Marauders. Freshman Billy Fitzpatrick was 3rd in a personal best time of 4:45.80 in the 1600 meter run. Freshman Brandon Parrado was 5th in a personal best of 10:23.60 in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Nat Soliven was 6th in a personal best of 54.90 in the 400 meter run. Freshman Kolton Huber was 6th in 12.60 in the 100 meter dash.
In the freshmen 110 meter hurdles, Mike Murphy ran 20.30 and Robbie Wisowaty ran 21.50. In the 400 meter intermediate hurdles, Freshmen Robbie Wisowaty ran 70.70 and Mike Murphy ran 71.90. In the Sophomore race, Will Springer ran 72.30. In the Sophomore Shot Put, Steven Sprofera threw 32'5".
In the freshmen 200 meters, Matt Fetherman ran 27.20. In the Sophomore 200 meters, Nat Soliven ran 25.60, Steven Sprofera ran 26.70, Mike Cid ran 27.20 and Sean Ahearn ran 27.30. In the Sophomore 400 meters, Brain Rojas ran 56.90. In the Sophomore 800 meters, Declan Wollard ran 2:08.30.
In the freshmen 1600 meters, Will Delaney ran 5:01.70, James Wright ran 5:06.40 and Dom Mastrodonato in a personal best ran 5:24.90. In the Sophomore 1600 meters, Alex Alberti ran 5:00.60 and Bennett Wong ran 5:11.60.
May 20, 2013 The East Coast Relays at Randolph High School saw the Marauders set a new school record for the 6400 meter relay (4x1600), take 5th place overall, run a time that qualifies for 1st team All American on the nationally recognized website Milesplit and all of this when all of our runners were affected by the 90 degree heat. Junior Fritz Heinrich ran his fastest 1600 meter ever in 4:27.12 to lead off, Junior Dan Apicella ran 4:37.57, Senior Ryan McGann ran his fastest of the season in 4:24.69 and Junior Chris Butko ran 4:40.92 for a team time of 18:10.30.
