Please join us on Sunday, August 24th at Robbinsville High School for the George Wah Memorial 5k XC Race. The xc course is new, mostly tree lined wide dirt trail with a few grass sections and trail in woods. It is flat and fast!
Here is more information about the event from Capital District Track and Field Officials:
In addition to inviting runners in a large age range (there will be awards for age group winners), we feel this race serves several other important purposes. Because of the timing of the race it can serve as a good tune up for scholastic and college runners to establish base times for their upcoming season. Even more importantly, all of the funds raised from the race go directly toward the Capital District Track and Field Officials Annual George Wah Memorial Scholarship awarded to one female and one male cross country or track and field athlete from Mercer County. Because of the success of this race and your participation we are proud to announce that this past spring we were able to award two $1,500 scholarships.
If youve run in our event in the past, be sure to note the venue change.
Registration starts at 7:00 AM with the race beginning promptly at 9:00 AM
T shirts to all pre-entries received
Awards to top overall male and female runners, top 3 male and female finishers in each age group
