Week 5
This week's honorees are two athletes who turned in the fastest times over the State Championship Holmdel Park layout this weekend at the Shore Coaches Invitational. Both are from small, private schools and are underclassmen. Their races were early in the day and their winning marks set the standard for the rest of the day's races. Girls Athlete of the Week: Kerry Dyke
Team: Mount St. Mary Academy (Watchung)
Graduation: 2015
This Week: Winner of the "F" Race @ the Shore Coaches Invitational
Running in the first Girls Varsity race of the day (F), Kerry, a sophomore won her race by 18 seconds in 18:42. Her time held up throughout the day as the fastest tour of Holmdel on the Girls side.

Boys Athlete of the Week: Liam Mullett
Team: The Pingry School (Martinsville)
Graduation: 2014
This Week: Winner of the "F" Race @ the Shore Coaches Invitational
Like his counterpart this week, Liam won the first Varsity race on Saturday, but with a cruel twist. With a pretty good lead on runnerup Josiah Hanko, Liam drove for the line, hoping to get under the magical 16:00 barrier. It was not to be this day as Liam hit 16:00 exactly, still ending up with the days top Boys time.
