Derrick Robinson Clears 6-6, Improves High Jump State Lead

Derrick Robinson improved his state leading status in the high jump by clearing a new PR of 6-06 on Saturday morning at 'The Bubble' in Toms River, NJ. This also ties Robinson for US No. 15.

The Cinnaminson HS junior entered the SJTCA Winter Meet #8 already in possession of the NJ No. 1 spot thanks to his 6-4 jump to win the Merli Invitational back on January 7th.

Robinson now has a three inch lead on the rest of New Jersey as of the rankings entering January 21st. NJ No. 2 is held by Isaiah Davenport of Pleasantville HS at 6-3 with 11 boys tied for NJ No. 3 recorded at a height of 6-02 this season.

  • Delana Einreinhofer of Wallkill Valley won the girls 3200m clocking 11:21.39 to move to NJ No. 8. 
  • Sianni Wynn of Pennsauken recorded a 7.12 to win the 55m hurdles, already leads NJ with a time of 7.06 from the Armory. She also won the 400m dash with a 58.46 to move to NJ No. 6.
  • Chloe Jones of Timber Creek also broke into the top 10 finishing second to Wynn with her 58.93 now ranked NJ No. 7.
  • Pennsauken senior Bryce Tucker placed a 1:56.82 on the board to win the 800m and now ranks NJ No. 2. 
  • Premier Wynn of Pennsauken won the boys 400m dash running 50.40 to move to NJ No. 10, the top performance at the flat track Bubble in 2023.
