This meet basically rewrote the girls pole vault rankings, providing us the current the top four girls in the state as well as the leading height on the boys side. 

For the girls Michelle Rubinetti of Northern Valley Demarest cleared 12-0 earning the win over Leah Saifi of Governor Livingston who also cleared the 12-0 bar, both now ranked NJ#1 and tied US#10 this season. Behind them two girls cleared 11-6 for NJ#3 and they were Melissa Purcell of Pascack Valley and Francesca Porambo of Bernards. 

The boys pole vault also saw a great vault with Seth Kricheff of Northern Valley Old Tappan clearing 14-3.5 NJ#1The story continues in the field where Dodley Thermitus of Elizabeth launched for a US#2 mark of 47-10.5 in the triple jump. Also in the pit for the long jump Victor Cotto of Bayonne hit a 21-11 for NJ#3. For the shot put Giovanni Gutierrez of Saddle Brook launched a NJ#2 US#4 mark of 58-0, a huge indoor personal best for him having never broken 55-0 indoors.

Back onto the track there were two state leading times in the 800 meter run. Lexi Del Gizzo of Tenafly won the girls event with a 2:20.60 NJ#1 US#6. For the boys Charles Maree of Marlboro went under two minutes for the first time indoors, best of 1:55 outdoors. Maree won with a 1:58.20 now ranking him NJ#1 US#4, not to far behind was Pascack Valley's Jeff Roberts NJ#2 US#7 1:58.70. Andrew Aguilera won both the 55 meter and 200 meter dash with 6.64 and 22.64 hand times.
