The results are in and the last cross country race of the season has been finished. New Jersey sent three to San Diego, California on Saturday to compete at Foot Locker Nationals so let's take a look at how they finished out the year.
In the girls race Alyssa Aldridge placed 13th running 17:55, improving on her 2015 performance of 23rd with an 18:20. She made it to her second straight National meet by winning the Northeast Regional meet with a time of 17:40, the first girl from New Jersey to do so since 1988. This ends another impressive season for Aldridge who amassed seven straight 5K wins en route to Nationals including her second straight Meet of Champions title.
For the boys we have Elliot Gindi and Matt Grossman. Grossman finished 26th running 15:41 and Gindi wasn't too far behind in 31st with a time of 15:46. Last year Grossman was 35th clocked at 16:06. Both of these seniors have competed great high school cross country careers and both leave this level of competition with state championship titles, Grossman the 2015 Group 4 winner and Gindi the 2016 Group 3 and Meet of Champions title winner.
