Briarwood Running Camp Invitational
New Jersey's leading time in this meet didn't come from the championship race. Derek Gess won the boys varsity division 2 race on Saturday with a time of 16:53, the ninth fastest time of the Briarwood meet overall. He led Haddonfield to a win in that division with 56 points and a 17:49 average.
In the Championship Boys race we saw Indian Hills go head to head with Cardinal O'Hara (PA), Indian Hills finishing second as a team with 74 points to their 71. The Indian Hills boys were led by Tom Holster who had the 10th best time of the meet at 16:55, was ninth in the race. They averaged 17:13 and split 51 seconds between their top five finishers. They were the top New Jersey team in the New Jersey only results merge.

On the girls side New Jersey was led by Madeline Barney a freshman from Indian Hills who finished second in the division 2 race with a 20:09. She was followed by Olivia Gerstenbacher of A P Schalick in third who ran 20:33.
Barney's time ended up ended up the third fastest time of the meet, her performance also led her team to a second place finish in her division averaging 21:45 between their top five. They are the first ranked team in the New Jersey only merge.
Definitely keep an eye out for the Indian Hills freshman!
