Joe Grandizio freshman at Kingsway

Joe Gransizio of Kingsway had one "get to know you" freshmen race when he opened up his high school career at the Cherokee Challenge back in September. He won the 3200 meter race with a time of 10:25, 8 seconds ahead of second and 21 seconds ahead of the next New Jersey athlete. After that point Grandizio established himself as a key part of the varsity squad with four invitational 5K races under his belt so far. His first taste of Holmdel went well with a 17:11 for 26th place and the fourth spot on his team. He ranked 87th out of 2,293 runners that day and was the first freshmen on the merge.
