Indoor season is here again! We are pretty pumped to get started. To get warmed up for the season let's all take a look at the top returners from last year's performances.
Girls Events - 55m - 400m - 1600m - 55mH - 800m - 3200m - Shot Put - Pole Vault - High Jump
Boys Events - 55m - 400m - 1600m - 55mH - 800m - 3200m - Shot Put - Pole Vault - High Jump
These will be linked as the event's respective article is released.
*Note these performances only include last indoor season, not outdoor.
The incredible Clark twins, Jaboc and Isaac who pumped out 1:51.52 and 1:51.72 (MOC record) last season are now burning rubber at South Plains College in Texas. Derrell Manhertz (who possibly has one of the sweetest MileSplit profiles I have ever seen) is at the University of Texas after contributing a NJ#3 time of 1:51.80 which came from that AMAZING Meet of Champions race. Ben Malone of Pascack Valley, that sly fox of a racer is now at Villanova, 1:51.91 at nationals last year. And lastly Edward Cheserek who posted what one could call a perfect freshman year of XC at Oregon is now out of the high school race as well. The top five were so sick nasty at the 800m it was a treat to see no matter what meet they were running.
Luckily for all of us our top few returners weren't too far behind them last year. James Buser of Mahwah leads the way heading into indoor with a time of 1:52.21 as a junior; we'll look to see that time drop his senior campaign. Ishmael Muhammad of Oakcrest will challange for that top spot as well after clocking a 1:53.68 last MOC. We'll see some fresh faces leaning the line this year. Good luck.
