2019 Boys & Girls Indoor Track & Field Relay Championship

Sunday, January 5th, 2020 - 8:30 am

Jersey City Armory

Meet Information:

    • NJSIAA & NFHS Rules to apply
    • 1 varsity relay per school
    • Novice entry unlimited
    • Bring your own batons, pins and shots.
    • Shot puts will be weighed at the meet.

    Entrance in to the Armory is at 8:00 am

    • High Jump and Shot Put will start at 8:30 am.
    • Running events will begin at 9:00 am.

    Entries and rosters Must be submitted on Milesplit.com by January 4th - 9pm

    Scoring: 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1

    Awards:

    • -Trophy to the Team Champion
    • -Plaque to the second place team
    • -Medals to the top 3 in each event

    Admissions:

    $5 Adults & $3 Students/Senior Citizens

    Please inform your parents/guardians and students of the admission charge.

    Entry Fees:

    -$25 per relay$100 minimum per gender

    Bus Parking/Drop off:

    Jersey City police have informed us that buses ARE NOT to park on Jersey City streets.

    Drop off can occur at the armory and buses can park by Ferris HS near the Turnpike overpass.

    • Boys Varsity Shot Put (3 person relay) * Seeded Flight Last - 3 Throws
    • Girls Varsity Shot Put(3 person relay) * Seeded Flight Last - 3 Throws
    • Boys JV Shot Put(3 person relay) *after Varsity Event - top 3 = team
    • Girls Varsity Shot Put(3 person relay) *follow Boys JV - top 3 = team
    • Girls Varsity High Jump (2 person relay) *Starting Height 4'
    • Boys Varsity High Jump (2 person relay) *Starting Height 5' **follows Girls Varsity HJ
    • HJ Heights:The first 2 increments are 3" then 2".(Example: 4' 4' 3" 4' 6"4' 8")

  • Novice 4 X 200 Meter Relay -GIRLS(Boys will be later in Program)
  • Varsity 4 X 800 Meter Relay - Girls/Boys
  • Novice 4 X 200 Meter Relay - BOYS (Girls earlier)
  • Varsity Sprint Medley Relay - (200, 200, 400, 800) Girls/Boys
  • Novice 4 X 800 Meter Relay - BOYS (Girls earlier)
  • Varsity 4 X 400 Meter Relay - Girls/Boys

Tie-Breakers:





    High Jump - Since this event is a relay, the tie-breaker will be based on both jumpers.First, the number of misses for the last successful height cleared by both jumpers.Second, the total number of misses for both jumpers throughout the competition.If a tie remains, then the points will be divided evenly for both teams based on whichever places the teams were tied for.

    Shot Put - Since this event is a relay, the tie-breaker will be based on all throwers on the team.First, the second-best throws will be added together to determine the tie.Second, the third best throws will be added together.If a tie remains, then the points will be divided evenly for both teams based on whichever places the teams were tied for.
