9-15 Weekend Highlights Sep 15, 2007

Suffern Invitational Suffern boys win first invitational in 8 years. Suffern's Shelby Greany leads mates to win. Tappan Zee's Emma Miller Bedell makes XC debut with strong 18:05 effort. Miller Bedell ran 2:08 last spring in the 800m. Cornwall boys and Shaker boys also win team titles as do the Warwick Vallet girls, led by Lillian Greibesland. The 12th edition of the Cherokee Challenge started out under threatening skies but ended in breezy sunshine with both Course Records in new hands.  

Running Around the Nation - Weekend Preview Sep 13, 2007

Around the nation this weekend, top teams and individuals take to the cross country courses at some very big meets.  West of the Mississippi, the Liberty Bell Invitational in Colorado showcases seven ranked teams, including boys US #3 Albuquerque Academy.  East of the Mississippi, the Hartford Cross Country Festival in Connecticut, will highligh the top boys team in the country, Danbury, CT, as well as a handful of potential Foot Locker qualifiers.  This is one big weekend for high school cross country!
