Live at the SJ Shootout - 9/17

The South Jersey XC Shootout, a unique type of team scoring meet is in it's 8th year is the brain child of Rowan U. womens coach and long time SJ running personality Derrick "Ringo" Adamson. The meet pits the 5-6-7 runners against each other. The 3-4s and ultimatley the 1-2 "studs" from each team.

Haddonfield's Middle School star Briana Gess continues her doninance of the SJ scene with a 9:15 win (2607m) as Haddonfield takes the top 3 spots.

In the Boys MS event, Owen Long of William Roher Middle School in Westmont takes the Boys rave with a strong 8:49.67 performance.

 

Evan Stigal of GCIT takes the Frosh Boys race over the 3800m course in 13:37, while the Girls Frosh winner is Janelle Shipotofsky of Timber Creek. Her time is 15:41. There is no team scoring for the Frosh & JV races

 

Toms River North goes 1-2 in the Boys JV race with Nicholas Wilk (18:33) and Collin Carpena (18:44)

The Mariners of TRN also have the winner in the JV Girls race with Julia Montone turning in a 22:09 performance.

 

Andrew Shaw of Haddon Twp. wins the Boys 5-6-7 race in 17:19 over a pair of Cherokee runners, Matt Decker (17:28) and Jeremy Morgan (17:32)

 

Toms River North showing some depth with a 1-3-4 finish in the Girls 5-6-7 race. Kaitlyn George took the win (21:31) over Stephanie Flemming of Senace (21:40)

 

Cherokee goes 1-2 in the Boys 3-4 race with Aiden Lynch (16:56) and Mike Lowinger (16:59). Cherokee looks very good in the Team Race with 5 points through 2 Varsity races

Celine Mazzi of Delsea wins the Girls 3-4 race with a time of 20:19 over Emily Juliano (20:33) and Alexis Juliano (20:50), both of Moorestown.

Shawn Wilson of Cherokee makes it 2 wins in 2 weekends as he wins the Boys 1-2 "Stud" race on 16:07. This should cement the team win as the Chiefs' #2 took 9th

 

Hammonton's Christin Bettis is the winner of the Girls 1-2 "Studette" race, running 18:47 int

 

Moorestown is the winner of the Girls Shootout Team Title with 24 points

Cherokee takes the Boys Title with 15 points
