Harvard-Westlake (CA) smashed the National Record in the DMR with an eye-popping 11:22.23!!

Day Three Highlights                                                                                                  

  • Harvard-Westlake (CA) smashed the National Record in the DMR with a time of 11:22.23.  Stotan Racing (NY) was 2nd with an 11:25.13 and North Shore RC (NY) was also under the old record with a 3rd place 11:30.45.  Amazing race!!  Splits for H-W were Amy Weissenbach 3:24.85, K.C. Cord 58.46, Lauren Hansson 2:13.70 and Cami Chapus 4:45.23.
  • St. Benedict's Prep (NJ) backed up Edward Cheserek big-time in the boys DMR with a US#3 winning time of 9:51.97! Splits were Tahlief Jackson 3:03.92, Naija Omari 49.17, Darien Edwards 1:56.60 and Edward Cheserek 4:02.30.  
  • Austin Mudd (IN) blasted a Meet Record 1:48.09 to win the 800 meter run over Zavon Watkins (NY), 1:49.70.
  • Kendall Baisden (MI) won the 400 dash in impressive fashion with a winning time of 52.87.
  • Josh Lampron (MA) surprised everybody in the Mile, winning with a time of 4:05.99, narrowly edging Jantzen Oshier (CA) 4:06.00.  Daniel Everett (MO) was 3rd in 4:06.91.
  • Wesley Frazier (NC) pulled an impressive upset in the girls Mile after her 5k win and 3rd in the 2 mile, running 4:44.76 for the win!  Hannah Meier (MI) was 2nd in 4:45.28.  
  • Leah Nugent (PA) blasted a 57.72 to win the 400 hurdles in impressive fashion.
  • Sean McLean (NC) added the 200 to his earlier 100 title with a winning sprint of 20.62.
  • Medgar Evers (NY) rolled to victory in the girls 4x100 with a time of 46.26!
  • Knightdale TC (NC) won the boys 4x100 relay with a time of 40.93.  
  • Joshua McClam (NC) won the Long Jump in front of a friendly home-town crowd with a leap of 25-2.  
  • Middletown TC (NY) won the boys 4x400 with a time of 3:13.71.
  • Justin Fondren (MS) won the boys high jump with a leap of 6-9.75.
  • Mary Kate Anselmini (NY) set a Meet Record to win her 2nd straight Steeplechase title with a time of 6:34.69.
  • Eddie Owens (NY) won the boys Steeplechase with a quick 5:49.40.
  • Withrow TC (OH) won the girls 800 Sprint Medley with a time of 1:42.69.
  • Smiths TC (AL) won the boys 800 Sprint Medley with a time of 1:29.53.
  • Shelby Ashe (GA) tossed the hammer 202-4 to win the title by nearly 16 feet.
  • The boys 4xMile had a slight mishap with some teams third runners only running three laps before their anchors were put on the track.  Loyola TC (CA) was leading and would have likely been the race winner.  According to Jim Spier, Meet Director, the top-6 teams who ran the full race and the top-6 teams who ran short will receive medals and All-American certificates.  Championship rings will also be given to both Loyola and Westerville North TC OH)
  • Kinetic TC (NY) ran away with the 4xMile Relay with a winning time of 20:27.91
  • Hannah Carson (AZ) won the girls Javelin with an impressive toss of 165-1.

 

Day Two Highlights                                                                                            

  • Long Beach Poly (CA) just destroyed the 4x800 National Record with a clocking of 7:28.75 powered by Myles Andrews' sick 1:47.71 leg!
  • Aisling Cuffe (NY) won the girls 2 mile with a National Record clocking of 9:54.22 after taking charge of the race with just over 800 meters to go.  Kayla Beattie (IL) finished an impressive 2nd with a time of 10:05.61.  Wesley Frazier came back from her impressive 5k record yesterday to finish 3rd in 10:10.86.
  • Bronxville (NY) ran a US#4 All-Time 8:49.85 to win the girls 4x800 with Mary Cain rocking an eye-boggling 2:03.74 anchor leg!!
  • Kendra Harrison repeated in the girls 100 hurdles with a time of 13.49 to just edge out Kendell Williams, 13.50.  Morgan Snow was 3rd in 13.51.
  • Demitrius Lindo blasted to a win in the 110 hurdles for the second time with a time of 13.58.
  • Ammar Moussa (CA) won the boys 2 mile with an impressive last lap surge in a time of 8:51.80.  
  • Kendell Williams (GA) set the National Sophomore Record in the Heptathlon with 5167 points.  Highlights include a 13.96 hurdles and and a 5-11.25 high jump.
  • Morgann LeLeux (LA) won the girls Pole Vault with a clearance of 13-8.25
  • Octavious Freeman (FL) won her 2nd straight 100m title with a time of 11.41.
  • Sean McLean (NC) won his 2nd straight 100m title with a time of 10.31.
  • Harvard-Westlake (CA) brought home the girls Sprint Medley with a time of 3:55.12.
  • Indy Elite (IN) blasted a 3:24.56 to win the boys Sprint Medley.  Liverpool (NY) was 5th overall in 3:27.77 but anchor Zavon Watkins blew the doors off with a 1:48.85 split for 800!
  • The Maryland Titans blasted a 1:37.17 to win the girls 4x100 meter relay.
  • The Knightdale TC won a thriller in the boys 4x100 over Charles W. Flanagan TC, 1:25.04 to 1:25.05.
  • Dean Sullivan (NJ) tossed the Javelin 217-9 to take the national title.
  • Rudy Winkler (NY) won the boys Hammer with an impressive toss of 214-7
  • It was a battle of MD athletes in the girls Triple Jump with Thea LaFond winning in 40-5 and Jessica Caldwell 2nd in 40-3.25.
  • Alex Collatz (CA) carved out a narrow victory in the girls Discus over Daina Levy (GA) 153-2 to 152-10.
  • Kyle McKelvey (SD) took the boys Shot Put with a mark of 68-10.5.
  • Imani Brown (PA) battled Chris Brown (SC) in the boys Triple Jump, winning 50-6.75 to 50-6.

 

Day One Highlights                                                                                                  

  • Sophomore Edward Cheserek, NJ, was trigger happy early with a 62.4 opening lap, 2:42 at 1k and 4:23.4 for 1600 meters.  Despite slowing later in the race Cheserek sprinted home to a time of 14:25.74, setting the Meet Record.  Thomas Graham, NC, was 2nd with a solid 14:45.42.
  • Sophomore Wesley Frazier, NC, destroyed the Soph National Record with a perfectly paced 16:24.83 for 5000 meters.  The record was an impressive 16:31.20 by Julia Stamps (CA).  Frazier closed powerfully with a 70.67 last 400.  Erin Finn, MI, also a sophomore, was 2nd with an impressive time of 16:41.33.  Krista DeCeault, VA, powered home for third in 16:53.47.
  • Kendell Williams (GA) has a commanding lead in the Heptathlon with 3312 points through 4 events.  Kendell jumped 5-11.25 in the high jump, ran 13.96 to win the 100 hurdles, ran 25.00 to win the 200, and threw 28-9.75 in the shot put.
  • Lane Austell, TN, is leading the Decathlon through 5 events with 3238 points.
