The Hillsborough girls and Ridge boys continued their domination at the Somerset County Championships by extending their winnng streaks on Tuesday night in Hillsborough.
RAIDERS MAKE IT 5 IN A ROW
In the girls competition, Hillsborough won its fifth title in a row in a shootout with runner-up Ridge, 163.25-122.
Hillsborough had six champions, led by senior Emma Stibitz, who swept the sprints by winning the 100m (12.26) and 200m (25.43)! Stibitz was sensational for the Raiders. In addition to her electrifying sprint wins, Stibitz also finished second in the 400 and fourth in the long jump.
The other winners for Hillsborough were - Stella Martinez was first in the 100m hurdles (15.14), Luciana Damiano capured the long jump (18-0), Isabella Ruffa finished first in the javelin (115-7), Peyton Wallace won the shot put (40-2.25), Daberechi Ozokpor finished first in the discus (115-1).

4- PEAT FOR THE RED DEVILS
On the boys side, Ridge scored in 15 of the 16 events as the Red Devils steamrolled the competition, outscoring runner-up Somerville, 124-61.67.
Ridge boys turned in a strong all-around performance with multiple athletes scoring in several events across the track and field program.
Leading the way for Ridge were Owen James, who won the 3200 meters in 9:26.29 and placed second in the 1600, Tristan Frank, who captured the 400-meter hurdles in 56.27 and finished second in the 400, William Ligos, who took second in the long jump and third in the high jump while also placing second in the 110 hurdles, Jacob Medenilla, who won the pole vault at 13-0 and added a second-place finish in the javelin, and the Ridge 4x400 relay team, which won in 3:24.25.
