2 NJ State Marks Set in Japan - Jacobs / Byrd Sprint to Records

2 of the Garden State's best sprinters traveled to Japan as part of a National Team and came away with State Records at the 2011 Germany-Japan-USA  Trilateral Friendly Indoor Meet on Saturday in Osaka.

Myasia Jacobs a junior from Paramus Catholic ran 7.41 while winning the  60 Meter Dash. She broke the record of 7.45 set by Aleah Williams of Montclair in 1997. The former Boys 60 meter mark of 6.78 set  in 1995by Joe Dawkins was broken by Timber Creek senior Damiere Byrd when he ran 6.76 to take second in the Boys race.
