Running as a unit for the first time and scoring the win at the Bowdoin XC Classic, CBA again reigns as the undisputed #1 for the 3rd consecutive week. The Colts, with Mike Mazzaccaro winning in 16:04, scored 52 points to defeat Pembrooke (Ma.) by 3 points. In the latest national rankings by "The Harrier" CBA is ranked #6. It is intersting to note that after "Mazz", Christian Bros. stuck their 2-4 in within 43 seconds.

On the unfortunate news of Joe Rosa's medical condition and season ending surgery, West Windsor-Plainsboro No. dropped from #2 to #10. Do not rule the Knights out of a strong finish to the year. They are well coached and were coming together well prior to the loss of Rosa. Westfield, who opened their season with a doninating win in the A race at the Stewart Memorial takes over at #2. Haddonfield, off of a strong race at Bowdoin moved up from 7th to 4th this week. The Dawgs took 3rd at Bowdoin with a strong run by Ben Potts who went 16:25 to also take 3rd. Two squads show up in the TOP 10 for the first time this week. Indian Hills, behind the 3rd place finish of Nick Ward, won the B race at the inaugural Six Flags Wild Safari Invite and debuts at #7. Randolph, who won in the Gr. 4 race at the Passaic Coaches Invitational grabs the #8 slot.

After their dominating win in the B race at the season opening Randolph Invitational, a lot people were remarking that Justina Cassavells had done another steller job of reloading a historically potent program. Voorhees proved on Saturday that the Randolph win was no fluke. Their win in the C race at the Six Flags Wild Safari meet, scoring 42 points made a pretty convinicing argument for the Lady Vikings to be among the state's elite. Led by Nisa Cicitta with a  second place finish (19:05), Voorhees put all seven girls in the top twenty with a 39 second gap between 1&5. In fact, the 1-7 gap was an amazing 53 seconds. That is some depth!  All that being said, Voorhees sits atop the Girls TOP 10 this week.

There was a little position jockeying this week with previously top ranked Hunterdon Central slipping to 3rd, while #2 Hillsborough held their spot. These top 3 teams will tangle in the Championship race at the Shore Coaches Invitational on Saturday.  Holy Angels, 3rd in last weeks Poll dropped down to #5 and Mt. Saint Dominic got into the mix at #10. Freshman  Amanda Corbosiero added her 2nd win of the season to her budding resume, taking the Gr. 1 race at PCCI.
