Women’s Track & Field Earns Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The NJIT women's track and field team has been named by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic team for the 2010 season.

The NJIT women were recognized as a result of having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. As a team the Highlanders combined for a 3.11 GPA.

Seven Highlanders earned Great West Conference all-Academic honors -- Cara Constantino, Iulia Doci, Lauren Dupuis, Daisy Gallegos, Megan Higgins, Katrina Hornstein and Zoey Tham.

For the team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
