NEW HAVEN, CT – NJIT track and field athletes' Josh Dolisca and freshman Ewelina Marut finished with strong performances Sunday afternoon at the Yale Springtime Invitational.
Dolisca, the Highlanders top weight thrower, placed second in the men's shot put with a distance of (15.41m) while Marut a freshman distance runner set two school-records in the 1500 meter run (25th; 5:05.06) and 800 meter run (38th; 2:31.19).
Joe Ju finished in the top 10 of the men's 3000 steeplechase with a (10:28.28) mark as Miguel Tlatelpa improved his time in the 1500 meter (4:08.42). Middle distance runners Tim Esposito (2:02.49) and Doug Colaizzo(2:08.29) improved their times in 800 meter run.
Both teams will prepare for the Great West Conference Outdoor Championships (May 13-15) hosted by University of South Dakota.
