Toms River North pulled out the brooms and swept the team titles in dominating fashion at the Ocean County Championships on Friday night at the Bennett Center in Toms River.

Toms River North pulled away from the field early and never looked back, finishing well ahead of Manchester Township (37 points) and Jackson Township (34 points) to secure another crown.
The Mariners showcased championship balance, winning multiple events while piling up points across sprints, distance, relays, and the field.
Junior Tahj Wilson delivered one of the top performances of the meet, winning both the 1600 meters (4:33.46) and the 800 meters (2:00.62) to anchor the Mariners' distance attack. Wilson's double victory set the tone for a dominant showing on the oval.
Toms River North also controlled the longer distance races behind Gregory Alcid, who captured the 3200 meters in 10:16.49, while the Mariners added another major victory in the 4x400-meter relay, closing out the meet with a winning time of 3:30.69.
In the sprints, Nick Tucker picked up a county title in the 400(50.79) and added a runner-up finish in the 55-meter hurdles, while the Mariners' depth was on display throughout the hurdle and sprint events.
The field events provided additional championship points, led by Grant Merlo, who won the long jump with a leap of 20-9, along with key scoring performances in the high jump and shot put that kept Toms River North firmly in control of the team standings.

EBERLE'S DISTANCE TRIPLE FUELS TRN GIRLS TO MEET RECORD 12TH TITLE
Nora Eberle lit up the oval by scoring a remarkable distance triple to spark the Toms River North girls to their 4th title in the past five years.
TRN, second last year to Point Pleasant Boro, has now won a record 12 total, the most in meet history. TRN and Southern had been tied for the most with 11.
Eberle scored 30 of the 60 points by the Mariners, who defeated Jrunner-up Jackson by 10 points. Southern was third with 44.
The Mariners were led by sophomore distance standout Nora Eberle, who delivered one of the most impressive performances of the meet. Eberle swept the distance events, winning the 800 meters, 1600 meters, and 3200 meters, anchoring Toms River North's title run with 30 championship points on her own.
Toms River North also stacked the podium in the distance races, placing multiple runners in the top five and asserting control over the meet as the competition unfolded.
