EAST STROUDSBURG – Highlander Josh Dolisca shattered two school records at the 11th Annual DeSchriver Invitational on Sunday afternoon hosted by East Stroudsburg.
Dolisca, a junior from Maplewood, NJ, broke the NJIT school record in the weight throw with a distance of (15.77m) which he set last weekend at the Thompson Invitational (15.55m), finishing third in the weight throw. Dolisca also broke his own school-record mark of (14.73) in the shot put with a throw of (14.85m), good for fourth place.
Distance runner Umar Saeed captured the men's 5000 meter race crossing the finish line with a time of (15:11.93), a new personal best for the senior.
NJIT's Lauren Dupris set a personal-best in the women's weight throw at (6.63m) while teammate Nicole Kerrison added a personal-best in the women's 500 meter run (1:22.97), taking third for the Highlanders.
The Highlanders will return to action Saturday at the CTC Indoor Championships.
