Jackson Burns NJ No. 8 All-Time 400 at Colts Neck Invit.

Julia Jackson of Scotch Plains-Fanwood lit up the track when she burned a 53.52 at the Colts Neck Invitational on Saturday.

That puts the Duke-bound Jackson at No. 8 on the state's all-time outdoor list, and is the third fastest time in the nation this season.

Jackson, who won the Meet of Champions titles in the 400 last June and this past indoor season, broke her PR of 53.73 that she ran in the trials at the New Balance Indoor Nationals last month in New York. Jackson went on the place second in the 400 final at the New Balance Indoor Nationals.
