The Cherokee Distance Invitational is set to kick off at 11am Saturday. NJ MileSplit will be there to record videos and take photos, they'll be uploaded to the meet page after the meet.
The fields are looking very strong for the distance focused events.
For the boys... Kyle Rakitis of Kingsway leads the 3200m field seeded at 9:25, Ben Godish of Highland Park not listed far behind with a 9:27. Six boys are seeded under two minutes in the 800m led by Jalen Ridgeway of Cumberland Regional. Brady Shute, Zach Williams, and Josh Forrest head a strong 1600m field seeded 4:26 or below, the 14th runner in the top section listed as 4:33!
On the girls side... Allison Colflesh of Haddonfield and Aubrey Pieronotoni of Kingsway come in seeded 1-2 at 11:00 and 11:02 ahead of a strong 3200m field. Lindsay Colflesh's 2:15 seeded No. 1 for the 800m. And you guessed it, another Haddonfield star leads the 1600m entries, Peyton Weiner seeded at 5:06.
