Watch highlights from the historic race in the video above. Angelina Perez of Lakeland Regional lowered her own course record at Garret Mountain down to a 17:21 while winning the North Jersey Finale featuring some of the best in North Jersey.
She had first set the course record a week earlier at the Lou Fraulo XC Invite when she clocked 17:29. That performance took down the time of 17:41 put up by Abby Loveys of Randolph during the 2018 North 1 Sectionals.
The team race on Saturday was won by NJ No. 1 Ridgewood with a score of 32 points, fitting every top five scorer into the top ten places, and bringing home an average of 19:54.
