South Sectional Changing Location To DREAM Park

The South Sectional Championship location on November 14th has moved from Delsea HS to DREAM Park in Logan Township. The move was made official on Monday by the NJSIAA's Assistant Director Bill Bruno and South Sectional Meet Director Ed Colona.

The course is in its third season, the first high school race held there was the 2018 South Jersey Shootout, and the location has held Olympic Conference Championships, batch meets, and college events throughout its lifespan so far.

Ethan Wechsler of Cherokee set the boys course record in 2019 when he won the Olympic Conference title running 15:12.65. The girls course record belongs to Isabella Turner of Shawnee who clocked a 17:52.89 at the very first meet back in 2018, she is still the only girl to run under 18 minutes there, Kate Rathman ranked second at 18:22.

In 2020 there have been three Olympic Conference Batch meets held there and Nico Grilli of Cherokee, 16:01, and Kate Ruona of Shawnee, 18:29, are the course leaders. The Olympic Conference Championships are running at DREAM on October 24th and NJ MileSplit will be on site for coverage.

For those outside of the Olympic Conference looking to get some race time in on the course the SJTCA is hosting a morning and afternoon session of their open meet on November 7th. On November 10th there will be a SJTCA JV and Freshmen Open as well.
