2020 Wild Safari Invitational Canceled

Charlotte Bednar had the fastest time of the meet by 40 seconds in 2019 running 17:41.

The 2020 Six Flags Wild Safari XC Invitational has been canceled, announced to NJ MileSplit by Meet Director Jim Schlentz Friday afternoon.

"The Six Flags Wild Safari Invitational has always been the last fun meet before division, conference, county and state championships begin," Schlentz said, "With a smaller space in the schedule this year, we don't want to take away from those championships. We look forward to having a big return to great competition and fun in the park next fall. We will think of something new and exciting to add to next years meet."

Last fall's Invitational saw over 3,000 athletes from middle school through high school compete and multiple states made the trip including NJ, NY, PA, MD, DE, CT, and VA.

New Jersey invitationals or championships making official cancellation or postponement announcements can reach out to rkellert@milesplit.com with information.
