Friends' Central Girls Drop US No. 2 SMR At Lavino

The Friends' Central girls put down the state's fastest time and the nation's No. 2 time so far this season in the sprint medley relay at the Lavino Relays across state lines in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.

The team of Miracle Price, Inara Shell, Bailie Stovall, and Micah Trusty ran a PA No. 2 and US No. 2 time of 4:11.08 to win the event on the banked track at Lawrenceville Prep. The quartet won in decisive fashion with Price opening up with a big 400 meter leg.

Shell and Garrett ran well on the middle 200 meter legs before giving the baton to Trusty, who is currently PA No. 2 in the girls 800, for the anchor half mile leg.

It's the fastest sprint medley relay time in state history since the Penn Wood girls ran 4:07.02 in 2018 at New Balance Nationals Indoor.

It continues Friends' Central's hot start to the 2019-2020 indoor season. They already have a PA No. 1 in the 4x400 meter relay, a 4:02.11 from the first DVGTCA meet of the season. FCS also sits at PA No. 2 in both the 4x800 meter relay and the DMR.

The Friends' Central boys also threw down a quick SMR time, winning in a new PA No. 1 time of 3:38.22. Watch the girls SMR above and the boys SMR below from Lavino.
