Bradley Jelmert Clears 16-06.5, Second All-Time Indoor Vault

On Sunday at the Bishop Loughlin Games in Staten Island, NY one of New Jersey's brightest track and field stars made some more history. Bradley Jelmert of Watchung Hills vaulted over the 16-06.5 bar effectivley moving into the No. 2 spot all-time in New Jersey indoor vaulting history.

The Arkansas State University bound senior entered this season with a previous indoor PR of 15-07.25, he broke the 16 foot barrier outdoors with a 16-01.5 bar.

Jelmert is only behind state record holder Bill Lange of Bridgewater-Raritan East who cleared 17-0 back in 1980 during the Dartmouth Relays. To break into the top five in state history indoors you now need to clear at least 16-01.25!

Jelmert won the 2019 outdoor NJSIAA State Meet of Champions after a monstrous junior year campaign and was second indoors to the now graduated Liam Landau who he just leapfrogged on the all-time list. Landau is seventh all-time at 15-09.
