Devin Hart of Pt. Pleasant Boro opened up his county meet on Thursday with a meet record run of 4:14.87, ranked NJ#4 so far in 2019. That took down the previous meet standard of 4:16.0 held by Carlos Hanze of Central Regional since 1982.

Last year Hart had just missed the record when he ran 4:16.25 but went on to improve the 3200m record to 9:09.50. He'll have an opportunity to lower his own meet record on Saturday when Ocean County continues with its day two schedule. If he takes gold in the 3200m that would be a clean County sweep all four years for Hart.

Hart is coming off a New Balance Nationals Indoor championship run in the two mile and is a multi-time State Group Champion along with five Meet of Champions victories between all three running seasons.
